Yep, I noticed about the MK.1 but didn't dare point it out.

Actually, I think Debbie Harry has aged really badly. I couldn't believe how old and haggered she looked when she released her last single, was it eary this year or last year? (I forget).

Anderson's breasts seem to have pushed her zipper over to one side.

Am I the only one to find the title of this thread slightly disturbing, or is it just that my mind is always in the gutter?

Anyway, I wanna know how Death keeps his ultra- huge knee pads from sliding down those skinny legs?

And is it just me, or does Tweak seem to have lost a lot of weight? Unless of course that's the younger son of Tweak on the cover.

I agree that's a well drawn Dredd.

The worst news I've heard so far this year about coming movies is that Jim Carrey has signed up to play Steve Austin in a movie version of the Six Million Dollar Man (AKA The Bionic Man)..........and it's going to be a comedy!

Just butcher my childhood memories why don't you!!!

I'm a big George Romero fan. Personally, I think the remake of Dawn of the Dead has huge 'suck' potential. Why try to remake perfection?

As others have said, why not just give Romero the money to make a sequel to day of the Dead?

And kudos to Rebellion for including the zombie infested shopping mall stage in the Dredd vs Death game. Made my day that did!

I find Caballistics reasonably entertaining, but sorry a spin-off series doesn't interest me at all. They would probably be too similar to each other.

Words = John Wagner.

Pictures = Mike McMahon circa late 70's (but not now).

My best mate (at the time)in 1978 let me read his progs. The Cursed Earth saga got me hooked. To this day, I still think that Cursed Earth has the best Dredd art ever. Some of the images are just so powerful. It's just a pity that McMahon's style has changed so much (for the worse IMO) since then.

I started buying 2000AD regularly from around the time of 'The Day the Law Died', until I stopped reading around 1985 or 86.

I started reading both 2000AD and The Meg again in the early 1990's (I forget exactly which year), but wasn't impressed with most of the content, so I stopped after only a year.

I decide to give The Meg another try back in 2001 and was quickly hooked and started a subscription, with a subscription to 2000AD following soon after.

I'm watching the recent series of Stargate on Sky (It's pants BTW)
-----------------------------------------

I'm not up on current British slang, not having lived in Brit Cit for nearly 2 decades now, so when somebody describes something as being 'Pants' does that mean it's good or bad?

This is a serious question BTW, I honestly want to know as it's been bugging me for a while.

I would have thought it means good, as wearing pants is usually a good thing, i.e preferable to wearing no pants.

Somebody enlighten me, please?

IIRC, Dredd's had at least one rejuve treatment.

I forget if it was ever clarified, but I seem to remember reading that a rejuve treatment knocks 10 years off physical age?

Help! / Re: Siku's Dredd
27 November, 2003, 03:19:03 PM
Siku should not be allowed to draw Dredd. Other strips fine, Dredd NO!

IMO, it's a pity he got to draw this story as I feel it has real potential if drawn by a different artist.

Siku's artwork over the last 3 weeks has left me scratching my head trying to figure out what's going on. As others have said, muddy and unclear!

And Kleggs, where? Those ain't Kleggs.

Prog / Re: 1368 - Seeing Red.

Finally got my prog yesterday.

Dredd: I like the concept behind this story, but IMO it would be much better if drawn by Ezquerra or, well by basically anybody else. It's just too difficult to make out what's going on sometimes. And don't we seem to be getting a lot of blasts from the past in Dredd this year? I mean, we've had Vienna, Starborne Thing, Kleggs and Tweak coming up in prog 2004!

DMW: Whoar...Jude nude, me likee! But seriously, Boo Cook draws nice women. Do we have a challenger to knock Gibson off his throne as the reigning king of female character artists? Anyway, enjoying DMW and looking forward to seeing how it concludes. More Boo Cook art soon please Tharg!

Cabilistcs: Didn't actually like this one much. Thought it would have been better to keep Kostabi more in the background. Sorta like Charlie in Chalie's Angles ;-)

Synnamon: This has developed nicely and I'm enjoying this more than when it started. However, sometimes I do find it difficult to work out exactly what's going on in some of the action scenes.

Durham Red: Started off very unclear, but the past few weeks episodes have been great. Can't wait to read more.
