Only a serial womanizer like Dr Manhattan could create a universe so massively sexist.
That legacy of squaxx fan creativity he kickstarted with Class of '79 is still going strong and there should absolutely be some tribute to his clear boundless enthusiasm in that vein. Terribly sorry for his family and those that knew him. This is deeply horrible news.

Playing a free-to-play tower defense troll game called One Troll Army and for a free to play it's astonishgly well put together but the rub came when I noticed there was an option to buy your troll outfits. Not a bad price for a big set of them and a pleasant way to support an indie and... oh...

DAMN YOU STALLONE.

Good spot, Steve!

You know - that didn't look nearly as bad as the first trailer made it out to be. It still looks miles away from "real Trek" (coming next year to TV hopefully) but it looked far less po-faced than Into Darkness and all the better for it.

I've been there a few times - there's even a surviving copy of my earliest anthology (Dr WTF 1) in their gift shop I think!

But yes, the price is shocking - however the things within are glorious. There was a history of satirical art on in their recently and some early Brit comics pages that are tremendous in the flesh. So much nicer on display than locked in a cabinet somewhere...

It was a mighty shame to
bring back Tonks only to kill her off in the next episode
. If you want a Joffrey successor though look no further than the spoiled brat in the Eyre being manipulated by accent Chameleon - powerful ending but really the only plotline that interests me atm is in King's Landing. I'm entranced by veteran actor Jonathan Pryce's beautifully malevolent High Sparrow and I get the profound feeling it's not going to end well. ...but then I imagine everyone feels that way about GoT!

Film & TV / Re: Marvel's Agent Carter…

Yeah, fair enough. A solid acting cast aside the last series was a real step-down in quality from the first storywise - so I'm not too fussed to see it cancelled.

Like Agents of SHIELD it seemed to be treading water for about sixty percent of the time and regularly generating big dumb plot holes by twisting events to create cheap twists. Marvel need to put more energy into their narratively dense Netflix shows rather than their syndicated TV fluff.

My favourite bit of the Incredible Hulk was when he visited Sunderland:

Dr David Banner... runnin'. Always runnin'.

(Literally the only thing I can think of whenever I see the Hulk)

YES  I quote this ALL OF THE TIME.

Yeah, totally agree - much like the films of Kevin Smith, I thought it was amazingly clever and funny aged 15, but now it all seems a bit embarrassing and juvenile.

I was just having this discussion last night - the Kevin Smith thing is weird because I thought he was great when I was 14 but now that I realise when he made most of them at the age I was when I was waaaayyy over that kind of infantile stoner humour. He made Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back when he was 30 :S

Have you traveled anywhere recently? A few friends of mine did a dig in the Sudan and logged in once there and on logging in again on their return FB decided a double-leap across from Khartoum to Bristol was UNSEEMLY and basically did what they've seemingly done to you. As a bizarre consequence of re-logging in their FB friendships with eachother were nullified and both assumed after an argument they'd had in the Sudan that the other had blocked them and they became enemies. Only after two months of this passive rage did anyone question the root of it and the FB mistake was revealed.

FACEBOOK COSTS FRIENDSHIPS!

A mate of milady has had that exact problem Grugz - it became such a grim learned habit that she began to tear huge bloody patches of her hair out as she slept. After many years of counselling (and some innovative unremovable sleep-mittens) she's gradually weaned herself to plucking a single hair a day - which she now, mercifully, occasionally forgets to do. So she has consequentially regrown her full head of hair.

Yer not alone sir, and it WILL get better but it won't be instantaneous - but one day all this will seem like a strange strange phase.
