Is he still doing that Batman Vs Al Qaeda book?

I really hope The Spirit is going to be less mad.
Hope being the operative word there...

Bizarrely, there was a feature about One More Day on Channel Four News last night. It was pretty good too.

My favourite Marvel comics of the last few years were Planet Hulk and Peter David's run on Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Maybe it's Jeremy Dennis the small press comic creator? Who is a girl. I've met her!

The Still Game Hogmanay Special was brilliant, I was crying with laughter at the Navid and Isa scenes. I was hoping the locals were going to Wicker Man Jack and Victor a bit though!

I thought Oliver Twist was pretty poor, not in the same league as Bleak House or the Alan Bleasdale adaptation.

My TV highlights were the Ghost Stories For Christmas season on BBC4, most of which I hadn't seen before. The Signalman was terrifying.

And as always some kind soul at BBC2 puts a string of classic films on late at night, Cat People was fantastic.

And The Red Shoes, on BBC4 again. Just brilliant.

Guiltiest pleasure was the To The Manor Born special on Christmas day, I really enjoyed it! Peter Bowles is still one suave mofo.

I thought it was great fun, really enjoyed it. I watched it at my Grandma's, there were about 12 people there and everyone was laughing and talking about it, it was fantastic.

I think the dip in quality in season 2 was a bit of a shock to me as I loved season 1 so much, but I've got over it now. Overall season 3 really did it for me despite a few weak episodes, so I'm really looking forward to the next one.
Although I keep mistaking Catherine Tate for Sarah Jane :)

I was quite surprised to see it in this format, I didn't realise it was creator owned. I'll dig out the original series to compare Lobo with the new version!

Lulu once worked with Dean Learner so she's ok by me :)
And yeah I would.

Marilyn Manson is one of those people who seem really interesting, who I wouldn't mind meeting and talking to. But for Christ's sake don't make me listen to one of his records.

Prog / Re: Prog 2008 - Cosmic

I've been basking in the glow of Christmas Thrill Power for about 4 days now, dangerously close to overload levels!

Dredd was perfect. In fact I think it was one of the best single episodes of Dredd there has ever been. I loved how he single handedly took down a gang of eleven armed robbers, showing that A: he isn't too old for this shit, and B: he isn't going soft either. He wants mutant rights because it's the right thing to do. And Hershey knows it too. Magnificent end to one of Dredd's best years.

I enjoyed the entire prog, every page of it. A few highlights were: Mr Vampire in Stickleback, the first page of Kingdom, Billy Glum, the bad guys in Shakara.

And I feel really bad about dissing the end of the last series of Caballistics. It was bloody great. Sangster and Fisher indeed!

A brilliant prog which has made the festive period a lot more festive.

Huzzah for Tharg! Grud bless us one and all!

I should have been playing this by now bah humbug...

It's a proper sequel not a spinoff, hence the name GTA IV.

Blimey...

There was also a story in Viz about Orangemen years ago, and their penchant for tight fitting bowler hats.

Cliff Robinsons Dredd boots for me. I was in hospital when I got that prog and my brother still takes the piss about it because I said "thats a great cover!" before I even said hello to him when he brought it in for me.

Ah the healing propeties of Thrill Power.

Looking at other choices there its been a vintage year for covers.
