I wonder if "art-god" would be too short an entry for Steve Yeowell.

Help! / Lining Up 2K and the Meg
01 July, 2005, 05:46:13 PM
Does anyone know of a resource that shows where 2K and the Meg coincide.

I know it's every 4 weeks now (which is very helpful) but it used to be variously monthly or fortnightly and it'd be great if someone had already made a list something like this:

2K:      Meg:
1441     233
1442
1443
1444
1445     234

(except taking in every single Meg).

Dammit - now you've got me saying "Robertson" - it's Cliff Robinson.

On character design in the Dreddverse:

After years of the clean-cut styles of the likes of Bolland, Dillon & Robertson (bendy shoulder-pads), I got kind of conservative about Dredd.  I mean, sure, there was McMahon with his "giant boots" style, but I loved that.  Sure they were big, but they looked right.

Than along came McCarthy with his weird helmet designs and I initially hated it:  I thought "this is not Dredd, this is Dredd on acid", and well it may have been.

However, I now love that work.  I guess only time will tell with this new guy, but I don't like it so far:  the eagles are all wrong, Guthrie is all wrong (he's a tough mofo, not an aging hell's angel) etc.  I'll be happy to see this (what I consider a travesty) come to an end.

If you're referring to the 3-fingered cartoonist that is currently mauling Judge Dredd in the weekly (presumably because they've run out of artistic talent), then I'd be very hard pressed to say anything good about it, but here goes:

He does a good Clooney.
