We've already met his dad, Pete. Big fellah, glasses, blew his brains out? Ringing any bells?

Late review -

Dredd/Aliens - good stuff, should be an extra good cliff hanger nexxt week as that'll be the end of part one of the Dark Horse version. I'm so impressed that this is reading so well as a weekly strip. Had my doubts, should have known better.

C. Inc - This is good stuff. From what we've seen so far I'm getting the impression that this is being set up as a possible recurring storyy. If the rest of this tale matches the start I'll be all for that.

Slaine - We're getting somewhere, slowly. I guess as this is the start of a three book tale I can handle a slow start, but I'm going off the art, seems to dark for me to see...

Dante - I'm going to miss him when he's gone. Good stuff, but whens Ma Dante going to show?

Sin Dex - The art doesn't appeal to me, but it's not bad as such. The boys are coming across as rather dumb in this tale though. It'll be interesting to see how the changes history works out - will Holy Moses still be alive when (if?) they return home? And therefore will Demi? Looking forwards to the confrontation with Croak, but I think I'm keener for them to return to the Barf arc that seems to be developing...

Cover - ugh. If I didn't buy it I don't think I'd notice it on the shelves, let alone look at it twice.

That was referred to last week as well I think. Quatermass and the Pit were also referenced.

Last of the Summer Wine -

Three old men with no responsibilities becuase they have retired/are widowed get up to all sorts of mischief.

Or -

Compo, Foggy, and Clegg are Id, Ego, and Super Ego, no longer needing to battle for supremacy in the subconcious because nowadays any behaviour is acceptable cause chaos in the personality of the everyday man (a.k.a. Yorkshire) with hilarious consequences.

It may have started out as your thread, but it's ours now. You let it go, like when that lad let Kes free, and now it flies, flise over the moors, like a majestic Kestral of questions in the grim urban landscape of inanity that is the boards.

Hmmm. Does that make Wake Colin Welland?

A - I'll have a bum.

Q - An Arundel Tomb, proof that within the poetic works of Philip Larkin there is evidence to argue against the accusations of mysogeny or merely more evidence for those who acuse him of maudlin melancholia?

A - Eating the cakey bit, then nibbling off the chocolate before finally eating the smashing orangy bit. Dunking in a really hot, sweet tea would be an acceptable alternative.

Q - Is Michealangelos David meant to be David Icke?

(p.s. If canvassers did that then the Conservatives would get many more votes next time around)

Q - Why is it legal to stalk many people, phoning them when they don't want you to, sending them distressing letters, turning up unexpectedly at there door and questioning them and making them promises you don't mean if you call if 'canvassing the public for their vote in the general election' but it's not legal to do it to one person if you call it 'trying to show you how much I love you'?
