My Perfect run -
1 - Dredd.
2 - Stronty or Rogue.
3 - Sin Dex or Dante.
4 - Something New.
5 - A one off.

The one off could be replaced with something else (entirely new or from categories 2 & 3) as long as Sin Dex or Dredd were having a run of one offs. As long as there's something complete in each issue.

I saw it, I laughed, then I made a mistake. I thought about it too much. Why has that been written on the vehicle? Who wrote it? What did they mean? It makes no sense!

Yeah, but when you have to consider that human life spans have increased over the years (40 was an old, old man in the middle ages). Also we have to take into account improvements in medicine and technology that are bound to have happened in the intervening years.

so in theory a man in his late 60's in the time-frame of the V.C.'s might equate to a man in his 40's today. Not in his prime maybe, but far from decrepit.

Devons Mate, I don't work for Big Finish, the icon is a joke. But that's how I feel about the plays.

Hands up those who are suprised I'm answering this one?

Yeah, it probably will be worth it. The Strontium Dog C.D. definatley will. It's got a fun script that builds on events from the comics but make sense on their own. The history of the characters are spelled out for those that don't know them but in such a way as to not bore those that do. And the actors are a fine bunch. Simon Pegg and Jaqueline Pearce make top heroes and villains but Toby Longworth and Mark McDonnell are spot on as Wulf and McNulty.

The David Bishop Dredd ones suffer a little from being the first C.D.'s in the range but they are okay. Not as good as they could be but okay. There are a lot of characters that have appeared in the comics some of whom they get to sound spot on (Mrs Gunderson) some don't sound necasarily how you'd expext them but still work (Walter and Death) and others aren't quite right to me (Max Normal). The stories are okay but nothing special.

The biggest bone of contention for a lot of people has been the Judge Steel character, a regular created for the audios. I don't mind her, some hate her. But it makes sense to create characters that aren't bound by 20 odd years of history, who they can use how they like.

The Dave Stone C.D. is a lot better. The villain is fun and the script is better. The NewsBreaks are used better, but that might be because the production team now have a better idea what will work.

And Toby Longworth as Dredd? He's never going to please everyone, but he works. He's got the pitch, the gravel, and the authority.

But there's probably going to be a slew of replys saying I'm biased. But I like these C.D.'s. They work for me. And they'll help pass the time on car journeys.

Nope, no Revere or Big Dave books.

And that story you are describing sounds like 'Wilderlands' where a ship is downed on an alien planet. There was Judge Castilo in that. She was an aid to McGruder and rather timid. She learned how to be a tough nut during the story. There was also a Mechanoid Judge loose in it.
