Another voice in support of the art on 'Atlantis'. Nice, clean, consistant images. Anf the colouring didn't detract from it for me. But then what do I know? I like Ron Smith.

That's the problem with democracy isn't it? People go and vote for what they want...
I voted for 'Shakara'. Good poll, b.t.w.

Anybody got this yet. Some good, some bad, as ever. Spoilers follow. Duh!

I liked Dredd. As with 'The Chief Judges Man' & 'Lost in CyberSpace' the multi-part story turns out to be a good 'un. I liked the down-beat ending. I'm looking forwards to 'Sin City'.

'Attavar' was the same old, same old. Not too bad but the art looks murky. I'll probably read it all in one go when it's finished and then forget all about it.

I liked the design and the characters in 'Future Shocks', I wouldn't be opposed to a return to McGintys, but that's unlikely to happen.

After the last surprisingly good 'Tales of the Telguuth' (or whatever) this is back to the way it has been. It's a promising idea but never pulled off properly.

'Nikolai Dante' ended on a low note for me. The big fight was over in what - a panel? He'll be back.

Nice to see a letters page. And good to see that 'Shakara' is still pulling in letters. That's one tale I'd like to see return.

Anybody know if they supply painted ones? It'd be extra sure, but I'm very lazy...

That's what I need. Excuses as good as that to buy comics. "I need it for research for an article that I'm being paid to write for a nationally available magazine" sounds better than "I know my rent is due but I want it".

Yeah, more Here and Now would be good in the mag. 'Freaks' started out in the present day as well. But more would be nice.

Interestingly when I wandered along to look to see if they had released a 'Zenith' collection in March the May release 'Skizz' was out instead.

Well that clinches it. The cheaper price of a paperback makes it a lot more appealing. Thanks Jamie.

Sure we all have a wish list of books we'd love to see but I'm wondering how many of the currently released books you've all bought and will be buying. Obviously the upcoming books are subject to change but I'm basing this on what we've been told is due. As for myself.

JUDGE DREDD - I've bought all four of the Ennis scripted books (Emerald Isle, Death Aid, Goodnight Kiss, and Helter Skelter). I'll also be buying the upcoming Muzak Killer and Innocents Abroad (although it would have been nice if that story and Emerald Isle had been collected in one volume with 'When Irish Pies Are Smiling').

LIBRARY EDITIONS - I've bought Judge Death and Slaine the King. Cursed Earth, The Day the Law Died, and Nemesis will also be definite buys. I'm not sure about the Rogue Trooper Volume.

THE REST - Halo Jones, Skizz, and A.B.C. Warriers bought so far. The Zenith Books if they ever arrive will be definates, as will Strontium Dog. D.R. & Quinch I wont buy as I've got most of the content from recent Megazines, the same goes for Bad Company. Missionary Man I already have the stories so I'll probably pass on that.

So what have you bought, or will you be buying.

I wasn't able to get the preview until I'd already got my hands on the full length story, so I can't comment on that. But the range is off to a good start and you'd be missing out if you didn't give it a shot. In my humble opinion, obviously.

If you check out the listing for this issue it states that 'Nikolai Dante' has a cameo from Luther Arkwright.

The Movie was great. Anybody who says otherwise can step outside where they'll be promptly sorted out :)

A belated reply -

1) The Doctor had a Grand-daughter so we have to assume he's not asexual. Plus the kisses were contextualized as to be outside a 'romance' frame for the Doctor.

2) The evil twin thing, sure but that goes back to the original Master from the 1970's. It's part of his scthick.

3) I don't have a problem with the Doctor trying to save the Master. He's a hero, it's what he does.

4) The plot does leap about. I'll give you that.

5) There have always been chases in Who. Why is a bike chase worse than say, Jon Pertwee chasing a villain in a hovercraft?

6) It doesn't so much re-write as add to. It's more a case of 'never been mentioned before' as 'this is the way it is now'.

7) The Daleks did sound wrong and were used in an odd way, I'll give you that.

And I totally agree that McGann was good. And continues to be in the Audio adventures.

A little unfair on Philip Segal. I'd say he trusted the material. He did make a fantastic film out of it, after all.
