The expression "I've worked like a black man today" when asked if you've had a heavy day at work.

More seriously there aren't many things that are banned in my house as me and Nick are fairly easy going. However there are a few because if one of us cares enough to ban something the other usually goes along.

So I've agreed that certain things, like my Green Man plaque, that disturb Nick are not going up. She wanted a tumble dryer but I didn't.

One of my favourite movies of all time - funt it, my favourite ever ever ever, is Ring of Bright Water.

Mogzilla, if your misses likes Animals then she'll love that film. Treat her to the D.V.D., it's dead cheap.

I own a copy of this comic. It's written by a devoted fan of the eponymous star. And very, very poor.http://www.blujay.com/1/51/1551781_s1_i1.jpg">

Sorry about that.

My reaction to the strip was to laugh. This isn't the first Dredd strip, or 2k strip for that matter, to make fun of real people and it won't be the last.

But in all fairness I am lazy, fat, and sweaty. I mean you could carve Wils and Max out of my body fat and still have enought left over for Jeanette Crankie.

Valkyries got an intro page, which I thought at the time was a bad sign. If we have to be told in advance who everyone is then it didn't bode well for the storytelling.

However I agree that this sort of ongoing arc could do with occasional recaps. Perhaps combined with a poge of new art it could replace the starscans in the annual prog, but then you'd lose the offbeat images of strips gone by...

You can't say C*nt in Canada. It's not a very nice word.

I attended the Rememberance service in Leigh last Sunday. First time I've ever gone, to be honest I didn't know there was an official ceremony in town, I was just going to the Cenotaph for 11 and found the service half over. The number of younger people there was heartening and walking around afterwards looking at the wreaths and mingling and chatting with the crowd was surprisingly uplifting.

How great would it be to have little baubles like those above for a Christmas tree? Tharg, get onto it.

Depends how much you want to spend. Perhaps it's going to have to be a good solid read rather than something taste specific.

Kingdom of the Wicked is a top collection.

If you get the time list what you've got here. Someone might offer a price for a job-lot or a portion, saving you listing fees, and I'm sure someone will suggest a reasonable price.

The problem with doing the old style Sontaron armour is that people will say 'They're using the Judoon costumes'.

Prog / Re: Prog 1562 - Execute!

Just when I thought Finn Sin looked like Christopher Eccleston who does he mangle into his latest Jesus letter surname exclamation?

Dredd and Button are chundering along but I can't say I'm as hooked as I should be.

Sin Dex and Dante are both back on form and fantastic.

Red Seas? Hooray. At last, etc. In the first panel yon thief looks a lot older than in his other appearances and looks a lot like Captain Dancer. Descendent? Looking forward to seeing this pan out. Still waiting for the modern archaeologist/historian story tha Edge talked off way back at the Barbican-con.
