This game uses the Traveller system instead of the old Games workshop or the Mongoose D20 system.
i am still using the GW system as it is fast and fluid but bought a lot of the new sourcebooks for reference and although they repeat a lot of the details provided by Mongoose publishing they are so beautifully laid out that they would not be out of place in in Dredd fans collection.

The Lawbringers and Lawbreakers books are stunning,with every detail covered of the characters and a nice portrait.

Even if you never intend playing the RPG these are books that would sit well in any collection.

I got one,wouldn't say its a fav but its been driving me nuts for years as everyone my age that i ask about it looks at me as if i'm mad! I DIDN'T DREAM IT DAMMIT!!!

Three heroes 2 male,1 female that have a base in an extinct volcanoe in a jungle. One of the blokes had super strength the other was a flash clone and the woman was a shape shifter.....oh and we're talking seventies here.

Anyone got any idea what the hell it is?

Finding that 30 years years worth of progs stored at my parents house had been moved resulting in 300 issues being stacked spine first, resulting in them now being an "S" shape due to the weight of oall the others on top of 'em and 60 issues from around prog 300 having fallen prey to a mild case of damp!


On the plus side,during the subsequent frantic checking of the progs i did find the original script for "Death Aid" which Garth Ennis kindly gave me, so a little bit of a silver lining.

APB is a new MMO in which players take n the roles of either vigilanties or criminals and then perform set tasks and shoot each other .its the most shallow game ever made.

But it didn't have Arnies one liners 

I get the impression that Hollywood just doesn't know what to do with the Predators.
the first two films had it nailed down,granted the second one was the weaker but it did line up the idea that the Predators hunted Aliens. If they had of went with that idea at the time instead of waiting the best part of twenty years and then having to resell the idea to a new market (also known as the Star Wars effect) maybe we'd be waiting on a good Predator 6....well maybe.

Don't know if i read this somewhere or merely dreamt it but is there a Dredd mmo in the making?
Considering the bilge that companies are putting out at the minute if theres not a Dredd one coming there bloody well should be (as long as whoever makes it can steer well clear of the APB template).

No doubt a Dredd mmo is only my wishful thinking dammit!

Makes me wish for another - long overdue - adaptation of a Rat novel. There's plenty to choose from.

Stainless Steel Rat goes to Hell would get my vote.

These reviews are not inspiring confidence when it comes to going to the cinema...think i'll wait for the dvd release and then wait til the price drops.

There have always been characters who make a brief appearance in Dredd stories and are never seen again,but are imbedded in memory. These people deserve a story,even if it is only a one off.
For me, two spring instantly to mind :

Edwin the confessor (although given at the time he wasn't exactly spry and since then we've had numerous Dark judge attacks,Apocalypse war etc it seems unlikely he made it).

Henry Ford the mutated talking mule from The Black Death story.

Well thats my ideas,any others?
