General / Original or Reprint?
19 January, 2003, 10:17:10 AM
Well there's lots of talk of classic Battle and Action Comic stories being rerinted, but which would you prefer to own if cost wasn't an issue? pristine reprints or those original 70's issues?

Your answers, (if anyone cares to reply) may vary depending on your needs, tastes.

Personally I own many UK Issue# 1's but I'd also like to see those originals dusted down and reprinted, I'd have no problem buying them again!

I'd say with the interest generated here that's it's only a matter of time before some of those classic pages hit the Meg again, can you imagine a Hook Jaw GOLD special/Poster mag!!!!!

Sadly the true scope of Armageddon will as usual be lost on the small screen, rent the DVD instead and crank up the volume... great eye candy movie!

Suggestions / Re: 2000AD Gold Summer Special !.....

Lets have a few complete reprint issues of some early Action/Battle issues, like we had with the 2000ad Issue 1 a few years back... in fact lets just have Action reprinted in full LOL, I'd certainly buy them all again...(if only)

Seriously though, with all this reprint talk  around perhaps we'll finally see many of these pages again if those good people at Rebellion are reading this! come on, you know it makes sense, we're getting more classic reprints in the Meg, many of us love them, so lets have MORE MORE MORE... and this time I'll keep my issues!

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be, but could be again. ;-)

I've posted about this in a past life, but I'm still looking to track down a copy of the book that covered the story of ACTION Comic, if anyone knows where I can pick up a reasonable priced copy, do please let me know.

Add your name if you wanna see this classic in the Mighty Meg.

Being a JAWS fanatic I really wanna see this series again.

I think I stopped reading the organ just after The Apocalypse War, and returned around 2 years later.

I read a "gossip" story last year about a DJ legend who took a large interest in young boys when touring, obviously no names were mentioned, but the piece ended by saying "let's see him fix this one"

now then, now then... any guesses ;-)

It sounds painful Mecha, was it published in a special or annual? I don't recall seeing it in the great organ!?

A NEMESIS PHOTOSTRIP? I missed this one, could someone let me know more (I'm not sure I like the idea of it though!)
I'd have thought Termite/Nemesis was one of 2000ad's more difficult worlds/characters to visualise on film :-(

On the subject of Nemesis and after a fashion, what a great bizzare ending to THAT final story, loved that one!
