As soon as your born they make you feel small,
By giving you no time instead of it all,
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all,
A working class hero is something to be,
A working class hero is something to be.
They hurt you at home and they hit you at school,
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool,
Till you're so fucking crazy you can't follow their rules,
A working class hero is something to be,
A working class hero is something to be.
When they've tortured and scared you for twenty odd years,
Then they expect you to pick a career,
When you can't really function you're so full of fear,
A working class hero is something to be,
A working class hero is something to be.
Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV,
And you think you're so clever and classless and free,
But you're still fucking peasents as far as I can see,
A working class hero is something to be,
A working class hero is something to be.
There's room at the top they are telling you still,
But first you must learn how to smile as you kill,
If you want to be like the folks on the hill,
A working class hero is something to be.
A working class hero is something to be.
If you want to be a hero well just follow me,
If you want to be a hero well just follow me.

That's often in my Friday DJ setlist, along with "Let's Talk About Sex" and "Wiggle It".

It's an Old Skool night kinda thing.

they dont talk politics
when boys talk
they talk about their kicks

Great tune!

""I opened the box in haste in my car and was quite appalled at gazing upon a forrest gump LASER DISC set"" Achk, that's a bad one! :-(

I've thankfully never had any ebay horrors to date (I've around 115 dealings there now)

Most expensive item I've purchased was a JAWS US One Sheet poster for around $190, the cheapest was likely a novel for which the postage cost me more than the item itself.

A good friend bought me the late Robert Shaw's autograph there... price unknown to me (but not cheap) it's a genuine sig but I'd never ask the price.

Reading the feedback some dealers have is quite unsettling and often decides if I go for an item or not.

I find HMV's only use these days is to actually gaze upon a CD/DVDs case and packaging while waiting for my copy to arrive mail order, vastly over priced.

(Mind you The Stranglers cd single was cheap :-)

And thanks to which ever boarder here mentioned about CD WOW's Hong Kong site, I picked up the new Planet of the Apes (1968) (R3)DVD set for ?9

Can you say "not out inthe UK yet"? ;-)

Sorry about my spelling here btw, I'm always trying to surf and work on other things at the same time as surfing which finds me typing pretty fast.

Yes Zombie Holocaust it was indeed! and good old Nightmare City, now uncut on DVD if I'm not mistaken!?

- flesheaters featured a zombie biting a shark -

Like I said, a man "eating" shark, or trying to ;-)

I understand the "eyeball" scene in Zombie Flesh Eaters was the one that caused the most problems with the censors over here.

I look in at Melon Falmers now and again, cool  site and well worth a visit.

Dr Butcher?  wasn't Ian McCullough in this too, I saw an awfully cut version of this years ago on VTC or a similar label, nice gold effect display case?

Dem where da days!

Ah, Contamination too! ;-)

I used to enjoy some of Fulci's work in a tacky kinda way, I remember seeing Zombie Flesh Eaters that first time on VHS (remember them) UNCUT, strong stuff at the time, this movie features a man eating shark!!!!!

"The boat can leave now... tell the crew"

I used to collect movie posters now and again and have UK Quads for House By The Cemetery, City of the Living Dead and Romero's Dawn Of The Dead.

I saw of lot of the movies which feature on the Video Nasty list during the 80's... Cannibal Holocaust, Nightmares in a Damaged Brain, Cannibal Apocalypse (with good old John Saxon)etc, lots of junk there but most worth at least one screening,
and somewhere I've a copy of New York Ripper on tape too.

funny how times change and many of the banned titles are now available in your local HMV! :-0

Ed

btw I got an email from a pal in the states recently which he sent out to some of his pals and one of the addresses on the list was that of Mr Tom Savini (yes that one!)!
