That's nice Jen, I know what you mean, some of my friends have been going for promotion recently and I try to project my "GET THE PROMOTION" on them, so far I've done well and things have gone well.

Wonder if PSI wouild be interested in us?!

Hey Tank Girl, have you heard the Second Edition album by PIL (aka Metal Box)?
Possibly one of the darkest albums I've ever heard, Mr Wobble features on it, Wobble also did some work with the orb.

I agree with you Gordon and Odders, most of these shows pass me by too unless I see reference to them in magazines and other media, I think I'm considering this upcoming show because I recognise some of the characters and it could provide a few laughs at the very least.

I have an Evesham too, no problems to date, but I understand their service is very good. They do some very good PC/Editing packages.

-Anyone for a rick wakeman hammond organ 12 minute long solo? No thought not.-

Certainly not...especially on ice lol.

I do see what you're saying Slips, I seriously doubt anything else will come along that will inspire me personally, I do like some dance music too (early 90's Orb, House etc) and the bottom seems to have fell out of what was a booming dance market too, the genre seems to have come to a stand still (I do like Hybrid, Aphex, Underworld and the likes though).

Confession... I like Slade lol, guess I'm glad to be a 70's kid, these kinda bands were my equivelant of today's lame offerings, at least Noddy and co knew how to rock and look stupid at the same time. :-)

--I too have an extensive Stranglers, Pistols, Damned--
It's nice to know I'm not alone out there :-) great bands!

Peace

I've been listening to the Pistols, The Damned, Stiff Little Fingers as much as ever recently, I doubt many people will be playing much of today's pap with a twinkle of nostalgia in around 20 years time.

Some great bands came out of the Punk scene, The Stranglers predated the era, Stiff Little Fingers certainly weren't manufactured, and other great bands like XTC developed out of this great era of music.

Musical taste is down to individual taste, personally most of what I hear in today's charts I find utter drivel.

Right, where is my Clash cd...

--It's times like these that I'm glad that I live in a nice insular bubble... although I'm aware that there is a TV show called Pop Idol & have the gist of how it works, I have no clue as to who has won it, or what they look/sound like.--

Same here OB, thankfully I'm ignorant to most of what is broadcast on TV these days, although I am interested  in seeing John Lydon on the Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, so I may well visit coach potato land for a change as John is always good value for money.

Help! / Re: PC to mp3 transfers problem......
21 January, 2004, 07:43:01 AM
Creative Lab Zen NX update... the opening theme of this thread, very special thanks to Marbles this is now running fine, simple when you know how huh!?.

I've now also sussed out the tagging of my existing Mp3's and this player has turned out rather cool, the look of the thing doesn't concern me, it's turned out to be an investment as I love my music with me most of the time and after all the pieces came together I now find myself mobile with around 800 tracks in tow so far (Including The Sex Pistols ;-) ) but I'm  maintaining the same standard level of anti socialness in work. ;-)
