Marbles, thanks I'll do that, I've emailed the tech support too so who knows, it may just happen!

Yep, the baby Ipod is due out soon enough.

The software works fine on this set up here, it simply doesn't recognise the player connected to the PC when trying to export the tracks, just gives me options to export to my various drives. :-(

Thanks IP, I do think it's something basic I'm overlooking here, I have a short fuse with these kinda things lol.

Perhaps I should take it out of the box first :-0

thanks Eggonlegs, the usb connection is established and there is a PC Media icon that appears, but sadly no access, if I can't get it going today, I think I'll send it back. :-(

Help! / PC to mp3 transfers problem
17 January, 2004, 12:26:52 AM

Hi all, perhaps one of you tech boys or girls can help me out here?

My new Creative Lab Zen mp3 Jukebox arrived today and I can't seem to transfer the mp3 tracks over to it :-(

I ran the software and then tried to transfer tracks through the organiser interface on screen in which they were sent to somewhere called a PC Media Library, I simply couldn't find an option to send the mp3s to the player itself or am I missing something really obvious in my eagerness to get it working hands?

Hope someone can help me here ?200 is a fair amount of cash :-0

Cheers

Thanks Unc, that's very kind of you, I'll keep it in mind, my pal seems to think he can sort it so I'll see how things go.

It's simply an image archive bank which will have around 7 sections (and a few sub sections within several of these), but there's a vast amount of images I plan to use and need to filter out which to use (out of around 2000),
I hope to have a guest book to start with but I'm not sure about a forum yet! :-0

Just this week I've got my hands on some stills from a guy connected to Universal Studios and I've NEVER seen many of them before so it's a major boost for the site.

So when I've stopped playing with my new Creative Lab mp3 kit at the weekend, I'll get my finger out and make a start!

Thanks again!

Cheers Bou, my mate said it would take around 7 hours or so to do the basic set up (Eddie gets calculator out), it's a hobby of his so he's learning as he goes along, but yeah same here Bou, design and content is easy peasey, but getting up online baffles me simply because I havent the time to do it, I understand though that it's no big deal really once you know how! (I've got all the software here, but sadly not the time), it's basically an image site, but I've been asked about including a message board which I'm not sure about after recent problems I've encountered from my ex-regular site :-(  .

If it doesn't go to plan I'll ask you then and pay for your bar tab in Bristol if your going :-)

Cheers

Bou, may I ask you if you're paying for someone to build your site? a friend will be building mine from my own artwork and have no idea what to pay him (he's offered to do it for nothing) but I must sort him out, he's one of these people who has everything, music, films etc.

I would have felt like that today in work, but I wasn't in :-) I was away from the old desk... still there's always tomorrow morning.

Good tip though if you ever get like this in work, have anything you order online, ebay etc sent to your workplace always a nice morning boost.

Moderating is a bit of a sore point for me right now, I resigned as a moderator of 2 years at the weekend and the forum I was on has been shut down after around 7 years, sadly spoilt by losers!

I was a fair Moderator and we had several different boards, but we had people using them to promote Animal rights, and people posting corpses and starting personal attacks etc and it became a farce.

I think you've got it rather good here, it's full of high spirit here, but I've never seen anyone cross the line... or don't I read carefully enough? ;-)

This may actually happen for me this year (last year was a wash out), a good pal I met over the net (Jaws Site) is interested in meeting up for a boozy weekend, and I thought Bristol would be an ideal weekend, browse and mingle sponsored by over priced hotel beer.com.

Be nice to put a few faces to names here, I've been in contact with Mr Scott before today, so I guess it's Paul's round.
