Off Topic / Predictions.
22 June, 2011, 10:25:04 PM
Do you have foresight? Is future knowledge your second nature?
If so put your reputations on the line.
They can be anything from a return of Durham Red to Strontium dog to the downfall of the Microsoft corporation.

I will start with.
I Predict that within the next five years Fujitsu will make a serious play for Virgin Media or will be a major player on how it runs.

Off Topic / Zombies attack the city of Leicester.
21 June, 2011, 09:37:22 PM
Recently someone asked the city council if they had contingency plans for a zombie assault and because there wasn't any he staged a mock attack starting from the clock tower to the council offices.
And no I wasn't one of them.

General / Mythology for the hivemind.
25 May, 2011, 10:25:34 PM
Been bulk reading red sea's and have a little niggling question.
Cerberus has many siblings but don't remember Erebus being one of them. I am sure I have missed something but have scoured T'internet but doesn't show any link to the two.
Is there anyone out there with the info or is it the Edgington droid just tinkering with the Mythos.

Off Topic / Every day is a school day.

So what new thing have you learnt today?

I never knew that the Americans used the pump action shot gun with fixed bayonet in the trenches of WWI.

What made me laugh is that the Germans considered this to be a murderous weapon and tried to get them banned under international law in warfare. Yet they condoned the use of mustard gas. A much less violent weapon of warfare.

Having recently recieved my latest batch of the Starships and Vehicles Collcetion, issue 64 is virtually dedicated to Cam's work. The ship featured 'The Imperial Tie Crawler' is from a
Quotethrow away design in the middle of his seventh page of Dark Empire
.

There is no review yet of the issue but if anyone wants me to scan some of the pages in I will do so.

General / Custom Lawgiver MKII.
21 March, 2011, 09:00:39 AM
I went to the Space Centre for the little Sci-Fi gig.
The prop Lawgiver that was there was a masterpiece. It was nice to hold and a decent weight, working trigger mechanism, Various working LED button controlled on pistol grip. The final product will have 16 vocal actions.

The project has been a two year labour of love, He said it would have been finished earlier but family crisis have got in the way.

From what the guy told me Mr Kingsley is still exited about this project and he will try to keep the price fairly affordable.

He has a web site but not much is on there at the moment due to his problems.

I wish I had more time to talk to him but the whole day was for my son and I am sorry Lawgiver or not he comes first.

Only these three piccy's I am afraid, I didn't stock up on batteries.

Creative Common / Skeletal parts.
20 February, 2011, 08:57:52 PM
This is a small request for all you arty types.

Wifey is doing some small activities for the children at the local Sure Start which she volunteers for and is looking for some decent simple pictures of Skeletal parts both human and animal. Skull, Rib cage, Hands, Feet, arms and legs (upper and lower), pelvis.

Soooo, if it is all right could some (or all of you) knock them up please. That would be much appreciated

Thanks

Film & TV / True Grit.
01 February, 2011, 08:57:28 PM
Was this necessary and is it any good. Loved the Original as a kid, Classic Duke.
Didn't even know this had been remade until I saw it on the side of a bus shelter.
From what I have just read on certain review sites I wont bother.

One of my best friends 4 year old daughter seriously needs a bone marrow transplant and it must happen this year. So it you haven't been tested please do so for the sake of all the sufferers around the country who are desparately clinging to life.
YOU could make a difference.
