Only if you write the date ass backwards, so actually it's American Pi day.

So Rogue could be some kind of post-apocayptic bin-man cleaning up the mess left by the war?

No reason why you can't just write it up as a small press story like the Disco peice...

That'll be one eye please. Theres instructions in teh other thread on how to pop it out.

Wouldn't there have to be such a thing as Nu-Earth civilians for that to work?

Though more than likely it would last 6 episodes and then everyone would forget about it.

I maintain he could get done in at any moment.

Pff. He absolutely couldn't, and you acknowledge that, it's just that he's invulnerable for different reasons. And yet Dredd stories still work fine. Stronty works fine as well, as well as the odd Rogue strory that hit's it off with the fans like The Hit.

We know Rogue's fate, and that of his bio-chip buddies, so we know they aren't ever in real danger - that seems to me to be the problem.

I;m not completely sure that holds true - it's not like Judge Dredd or Superman could drop dead at any moment, and I still read their stories.

Heh. If theres one this FQ taught me it's don't count your strips until you've got the artwork in hand (and, if it's a computer file, you've opened it to make sure it isn't actually corrupted / the same page repeated / your previous assumptions about who was doing to lettering were wrong).

Actually a porn film, but apparently The DaVinci Load is coming out this year at the same time as the Hanks/Howard film.

All Star Superman suffered from ads horribly... fortunately they seem to have toned it down a bit now.

Also, talking of people from other media writing comics - Orson Scott Cards Ultimate Iron Man, what a mess!

Babylon 5 was great at the time (well, appart from the dodgy last season) but hasn't really aged well. I have to conclude that J. Michael Straczynski can do grand plot arcs but can't really do people.

I flicked through one of his comics out of idle curiosity and put it straight back, having got the distinct impression that he wouldn't have gotten anywhere in comics if he wasn't a big TV name (see also Joss Whedon and Kevin Smith).
