FWIW no one that I know of has ever confused Scott with Peterwolf, or suggested that one is the other.

Psst. Resist the multipost. It's a bit of a tip-off.

Ah ha! The famously hated tube scene that spawned nemesis. Very nice.

Over on BPRD Guy Davis does an awesome job as well - despite having an art style that's superficially about as far from Mignolas as you can get.

Blood & Iron seemed like the more solid offering to me as well, though they both have their charm. I'm looking forwards to them making more of these.

Of course, I would have prefered a more Mignolaesque style...

2000Ad and Crisis artist Duncan Fegredo is doing a blinding job on the Hellboy comic books right now. It's somehow both sufficiently like Mignolas artwork and at the same time sufficiently not like mignolas artwork to work.

I think any list of this kind is going to get a bunch of complaining no matter what. It's just the nature of lists.

And, TBH, the non-retro element has it's advantages - these are mostly games that it could be reasonably expected that someone would be able to play and enjoy these days.

Of course, the equivalent list in any other games magazine would be heavily biased towards games released in the last 3 years, with special emphasis on anything that takes full advantage of a Dual core / 8800 set up for extra prettiness.

For a reader-poll generated list it's not too bad.

Some of the dismisals of individual titles here are more than a little harsh.

IIRC early versions of the FOBS (Fractional Oribt Bombardment system) were basically a Vostok capsule with a big bomb in it, designed to orbit over to America and then de-orbit and go boom.
