The Heston thing was pretty good, up until the point where he goes chasing Hetson with the hoto of the little girl. Also, unless Moore had a second camera man theres a spot of duplicitous editing there in order to get the reverse shots.

Weirdly enough the Canadian material undermines my usual argument that they have too much casual access to guns over there. I'm pretty certain that any British documentary on the subject would focus entirely on this aspect, so its very interesting seeing a different take.

It?s a very, very good documentary. I'm not a big fan of Moores over dramatic "confronting the man" doorstopping technique, and felt that those parts of the documentary undermined the whole, but other than that its opne of the best put together, best edited and most well thought out documentaries I've seen for a while.

He did Cla$$war for Com.X, but is certainly far less established than someone like Ian Eddginton.

Hmm... Sis been around for way too long to get this now, Ian Edgington is pretty established and Bison was crap, so Rob Williams pretty much gets it by default.

Gordon wasn't going when I bought my ticket.

If you want a refund you should just come out and ask for it.

Liking 2000ad in a sort of retrospective, nostalgic way Is generally considered pretty "cool" these days. Actually reading the damn thing isn't, and probably never will be.

Of course, theres nothing more uncool than giving a damn about cool anyway.

Definitely with you there. Game developers who don't provide an option to turn off background music should be strung up. Especially if they respond with some whiney bollocks about trying to make it as much like a movie as possible. Its not a bloody movie, it?s a bloody computer game - shut up and live with it

Of course there are some games where if you tune the music off you're really missing out, boarders favourite GTA3 would not be the same without Chatterbox FM, and playing Rez without music would be bizarre and pointless, but even those two games are polite enough to give the user the choice.

St Petersberg is closer. The shear amount of bootleg CD-ROMs they have for sale there... I suspect the Finns all pop over and buy them.
