The way I see it, once in your life you need an excuser to throw a really, really big party, and if you've got 50 grand to spend, fuck it.

Art
(did not spend 50 grand)
(though it was quite a lot)

Obviously like all right thinking people I find Paris hilton being sent to jail (posh jail, for less than half a month) and her folks making a fuss about it like she's being sent to a concentration camp very very funny.

And then I read this titbit about who the photographer who caught a pic of her crying is, and, well, wow...

For some reason it's always comics that Amazon screws up. pre-Order information is basically useless and the information they do have you need to take with a pinch of salt (I'd bet that the Time Killer that's available actually has the cover of the one that isn't). I've never known books, CDs or DVDs to have the same problems.

The postage on the last book I bought (a fairly hefty hardback) ened up being £6.98, which would be about $14.00. Make of that what you will.

I order DVDs and books and stuff form them all the time. TBH the exchange rate is so fucking horrible at the moment that I barely notice the cost of postage on top of it, I just wince and fork over the dosh.

The stuff turns up pretty quickly, that's good.

Pete Wolf makes a pretty sensible suggestion there.

Is there any particular reason why you don't order from the future store or via Amazon UK?

I must be bored...

9781905437221 and 9781904265771 don't seem to be the ISBN for anything. 9781904265450 is a Slaine book, but no copies of it appear to be available anywhere, including ebay. Looking at Time Killer on amazon.co.uk, where it is in stock, it has an ISBN of 9781905437214.

I'd say that at somepoint along the line someone got the ISBNs wrong.  That doesn't seem to be that uncommon an occurance when pre-ordering comics - just look at how awful Amazons info for unpublished Graphic Novels is.

I thibk possibky you are being a little paranoid. Is it possible that there is some alternate explanation, such as a book-keeping error or the ISBN numbers being changed to reflect differences in content, that kind of thing?

What, you think Scojo is the way he is because people encouraged him? He seems pretty self sufficient to me - he's been carrying on his act on alt.comic.2000ad for years now with no one particularly bothering to respond to him.

Weirdly the Casefiles books mean that I can't moan on about BIG THICK AKIRA SIZE VOLUMES any more, since they are pretty much going in that direction anyway. But They'll never bring back Big Dave, so I can safely moan on about that forever.

And ZENITH!

Last seen writing for Jackie Chan Adventures, IIRC.
