Bit of a shot in the dark here but does anyone on the boards have a copy of 2000ad issue 2 (yes the first appearance of JD) for sale at a reachable price for my a hard core fan with a almost complete collection of 2000ad issues bar one issue!

I just cant bring my self to pay over 80 pounds for a single issue, maybe some one out their might take pity on me been so close to a complete collection with a reasonable price issue 2!

At this stage I would even settle for a High quality scan just for my own personal use.

You can PM me!

thanks

Was browsing Adrian Bamforth's site and this blew me away, story boards for his 2000ad Ad idea based on Take on Me" music video by AH HA.

check out the ad here, have your speakers on for the audio: http://home.contextshift.co.uk/~adrianbamforth/animation/takeonme.html

from Adrian's page about the ad:
2000AD Web Ad - Version 1
For those who, like me, lament that there's never been any real animation based on 2000AD characters (apart from the odd dodge TV ad). The idea behind this ridiculously time-consuming project is to create an animated ad for 2000AD which might raise the profile of the comic on the Internet (and perhaps my profile as a comic artist) - though really I just thought up the idea and can't let it slip by!

This is version 1: the animated storyboard, basically a couple of days work, but enough that you should get the idea. I plan to draw every frame, except for the beginning and end, which will be live action (if anyone wants to film those parts, or if you just want to praise me, please get in touch - remember, whoever plays the lead role gets the reward of having their likeness animated).

wow this is some long list, glad to see so much love for rogue!]

first: - Paul Moore - Rogue - spot on rendering of rogue would like to see him working on the strip in the prog!

2: Mark Higgins - Stealth Rogue (Black & White) - drop dead gorgeous painting once again!

3 Anthony Coppin - Black Rain - really like this, kind of trippy design

4 Tulio Vilela1 - Mashup - sweet cover drawing!

5 Andy Lambert1 - Me and My Shadow - great drawing & idea!

HM: Adrian Bamforth - Belligerent Ghoul, Andy Lambert2 - Dreamweaver, IAMTHESYSTEM - Rogue Reflections, Stephen Burgess - He's Gone Rogue!, Steven Denton - Something Blue, Uwe de Witt - Rogue, Whatley - Rogue Trooper

am reading it now, only got to the launch of action and the move to new offices, already loving it, it is a great, in depth read so far of comic publishing in the 70's.
