Colin Farrell allegedly looks like me. Can't see it myself. Either that or Ed Norton (later American History X look) thanks :o)

Suuuuuure :o)

I imagine we'll be looking at a CGI Death, either that or Kate Moss. I'm sure McKellen would do a marvellous voice for Death though.

Fraser - chin's too pointy! Plus he looks like one of our directors. *shudder*

I just remember them as being shameless crap printed for the sole reason of selling thousands of slightly different bits of plastic, or even metal (oooooh). Didn't really think of it as a strip, was just an advert.

I'll vote for Moorcock on that one!!

Or in other words,

Jerry Cornelius, Corum Jhaelen Irsei, Jerehk Carnelian, Dorian Hawkmoon, Elric, Erekose, Oswald Bastable, Ulrik Skarsol, the Warrior in Jet and Gold, all the other warriors at the edge of time, various von Beks and finally Stormbringer vs Luther Arkwright :o)

Or should he be on the same side, not quite sure. Given the nature of the Eternal Champion I'd guess so, there's been quite a few Jerry Cornelius stories by other authors too.

Um, strontium doug vs strontium dougfish

Nice argument!

God completely wiped the floor with the opposition when his chief henchman tried to mount a coup d'etat against him

Sounds like King Troutman :o)

Also, I reckon a full set of progs has a better re-read value than the bible. Plus it's still being written!! Therefore, 2000ad readers are open-minded people, accepting of change (mostly:o) while fundamentalist christians are mad, stagnant dispicable creatures.

Long live Khaos!

So, um, yes, Tharg would win.

I'm a Java Developer doing web applications, so not quite a web developer, as we have other guys who do the UIs. I ain't showing you our website, it's an embarressment. Not that we can't do a better one, all down to marketing scum etc.

So as far as Rebellion goes, surely they're putting every ounce of effort into making the Dredd game!?!?!

Mars perhaps? Nu-Earth of course. Ararat, Apocalyse War type thing, the VC's, that other space one recently that should have been carried on, ummmm, Vanguard!

Endless possibilities!

Be nice if they were. Was thinking the other night that a Nikolai Dante game could be superb. 3rd person sort of thing, fighting with hand/sword things, various weapons. After a while you get the Huntmaster wotsit which automatically adjusts for targets etc. Plenty scope for parners/enemies with special abilities etc. Zomming about on one of those flying horse things woul be cool too!

And Strontium Doug, oops, Dog, natch!

Ah well, from Shoreline itself:

While ?Dredd? represents the higher budget spectrum of the new division, Riptide will include lower budget fare as well. Horror titles, ?Parasite? and ?Centipede? will be ready for delivery right before the Cannes market.

*sigh of relief*

This is the post on Comics2Film, sorry Comic Book Resources C2F section as it is now:

Shoreline Entertainment announced last week that they've formed a new genre imprint called Riptide Entertainment. The Riptide division will handle Shoreline's development of horror and action movies.

This is of interest to comic fans, who have been waiting for word of the new "Judge Dredd" movies since they were announced eighteen month ago. The legendary British comic character is said to be the top priority for the new division.

Plans have always called for Shoreline to film two new "Dredd" movies back to back. According to the press release, Shoreline/Riptide is set to begin production on the films in July 2003.

Other irons in the Riptide fires include horror titles "Parasite" and "Centipede."

Heading up the new division is Steve Chicorel.

Hmm, 'Parasite' and 'Centipede'. They sound like absolute blockbusters eh? Not that I'm cynical...
