3 - At a guess, A Killing Joke? The Batman/Joker one with Alan Moore?

One cover a month for The Invisibles must have stretched him a bit :o) That's well over now though.

Surely it's been taken over by various aliens at one point or another too, unless I'm thinking of Voyager.

Anyway, how many captains of tooth have there been? 2! (Unless you count the MIB as more than 1).

Everyone together now "There's only one Tharg the Mighty, one Tharg the Miiiiiiighty!"

General / Dune
27 March, 2003, 04:19:10 PM
I'm still patiently waiting for the full directors cut of Dune. It's apparently still planned, although was first mentioned probably before DVD's existed. There's a extended version out but it's some weird American TV version (of the film, not the newer series) or something and bad things have been said about it, on Amazon at least.

Speaking of the series, anyone seen it? Is it worth seeing? Noticed that Children of Dune has now been done, probably by the same folk as the series, was on Sci-Fi recently, or soon, dunno, our cable was rudely taken from under our noses by the evil Atlantic.

But did they do Dune Messiah, or did they skip that and go straight to 'Children'

I would think it's a pretty safe bet that it's Orlok and that it starts then. They wouldn't splash out on Bolland for some dodgy new S&M character :o)

I would have said Mega City comics, but arthur beat me to it. I got a few old ones (from the 30's to 80's) the last time I was there. Buy your progs and walk away mind, it's dangerous for your wallet in there!

A very good point. Huge area that has yet to be properly used. I think you can safely blame the oil companies for that. Especially America. Thing is, it'd be cheaper for us, but the way America works, they keep the fossil fuels dirt cheap for their own.

Was reading Michael Moore's recent letter to Bush, and nearly choked at the part when he whinged "Gas nearly $2". And that's bad???? Grud on a Greenie!!! (ooooh, topical AND conservational :o). Don't you feel sorry for them ????

Just shows how we're screwed by the gov. Of course they'll say they're protecting the environment. Suuuuuure.

Hmm, I'm a north boarder, so I'll do my best, although I'm guessing.

I'd imagine a reduction in fuel tax would be a good thing, given petrol prices in the more rural areas, especially the highlands. The delivery companies obviously charge more hence higher prices, but ultimately, a tax reduction could help that (or more of a rebate really). Not very likely, but something to aim for. It's something that probably affects a hell of a lot of small businesses in Scotland. Bloody cheek too seeing as most of it's drilled for, produced and refined here! I'm not saying they should have cheaper fuel than England, just the same as urban areas.

Umm, broadband! There's a current and topical issue. I'm from Inverurie originally (near Aberdeen) and I've heard that they can't get it there yet, which is a bit of a shock to me. Not enough takers etc, companies demanding people sign up for it before it even exists and things like that. I imagine there's a lot of other places in the whole of Britain in the same boat, but that's for them to shout at their gov about I suppose.

Hey, I'm getting good at this!

Cheers,

SD

Radio 1, yes possibly, Sara Cox would make them grind all their teeth out. But for a true massacre you need adverts. Give 'em Northsound, when the adverts start, mass suicide I tell you!!
