Sweet, can't wait for this, love Diablo. I hope they have the same twangy accoustic guitar tracks and Deckard's voice. Lovely atmosphere to the Diablo games. Been so loooooong!

Oh hell yeah, Meshuggah's new album streaming...
http://iamaleak.com/

Eagerly awaiting the fancy (brown lol) vinyl in the post, out next week.

Bit of a jump up from the doom n stuff, but would strongly urge anyone even vaguely into metal to check this out. Sounding like their best yet I must say. Click on individual tracks around the middle.

aww thankyou darlins :) you're all very sweet. Lol joe didn't you notice its emperor I was after but he's turned me down for facial fuzz lolol. Yeah cranking is a great phrase - I'm always trying to slip in cool phrases and glaswegian patter. Like fanny baws, which is actually a term of endearment where I stay lol x

lol, fanny baws is definitely my favourite weegie phrase. There was a guy called Fani on trial with Celtic a couple of years ago but they didn't sign him! Missed out on some commentary gold there  :D

Heading over to this bad girl in April...

http://www.thedesertfest.com/london/line-up/

Oh yes :D

Bloody hell, I want to live in London. Samsara Blues Experiment!

Not listened to much COC since their early hardcore days (that obviously looks a bit suss), most of the original lineup back together though apparently.

Still, got Orange Goblin in Glasgow on the Tuesday after so reckon that'll do me for, having been down the week before for the Wizard.

Enjoy!!!

Just out of curiosity, can anyone name me one thing useful that philosophy has ever contributed to the human race?
I mean, science has given us thing like drugs, powered flight, warm homes and clothing and computers.
Art has given us everything from Bob Dylan to the Mona Lisa.
Philosophy... someone help me out..?

Possibly a bit close to religion, which of course has given us death, destruction, pain, suffering and sectarianism. Maybe more like the implementation of philosophy has given us religion as a means of control and division, hence the above. Then again, science has given us all those things too. Art? Well, I've got records by Death and Destruction, I'm damn sure there's bands of the others, though sectarianism's a pretty poor band name.

I'm going to stop.

More stuff to add to my list, I feel that is bloody gorgeous!

Last album I got was Flood by Boris - which is like, an hour of the same riff (but more ambient than Dopesmoker). Which I'm well down with.

Also, Klute, I'll have that one as well.

Keep the stoner coming, chaps - this is bloody tasty!

I only have a copy of Heavy Rocks, a mate's got tons of Boris tho. Also, seeing as you've mentioned Dopesmoker you should probably see this, if you're not aware of it...

I'll be at Glasgow and London (the one with Yob, Melvins, Slayer etc)  :D

Film & TV / Re: Last movie watched...

Fast Five
Started watching before I realised it was a Fast & the Furious sequel, which was of course obvious in not very far hindsight. As big dumb action films go it was great, bit of bank job type thing about it which is always good and of course loads of mental car chases/crashes, while trying to outdo the Blues Brothers for cop cars smashed up. It didn't, but then what could?  :D

Most cheesetastic non-sensical line from Vin - "You ain't in America no more. This is BRAZIL!!!" Ummm...

As Fast & Furious films go it was pretty good too really. Extra laughs from Dwayne thingy (The Rock) being in it too. Oh, and the guy that was Bucho in Desperado as the bad guy  :D

They allegedly started out there, possibly in an Alan Moore thread  ;)

Starts off Sweet Emotion and builds up to more VERY Kyussesque heaviness.

Gotta love youtube  :)

Trolling = to deliberately post something antagonising, offence or insulting because its funny

I would suggest this is false, in its original sense. Granted, people have come to accept it as that these days and is why it's associated with Trolls (angry ugly fantasy creatures), which is also wrong. Trolling, as in fishing, is posting something deliberately false to get a reaction from some other poster. Best example here would be the terrible rumours regarding Johhny & Wulf  ;) It's like winding someone up, which has existed long before forums did, although I'm sure the Romans did it too  :D It's more light-hearted than what it's come to be associated with, which is really just being a nasty bastard. Obviously there's shades in between too but the word has been kind of misused.

Just FYI
