Regarding black people specifically participating in ww2, I found this article:

What an inspiring article, would love to see what Garth Ennis would make of that...

Has anyone explained why this is getting released in such thin volumes? It's a major series in British comics history and I can't understand why it's not being collected along similar lines to The Trigan Empire, Charley's War, The Spider, etc.

This ^^^

I've just got the 1st one and it is a thing of beauty, a collected hardback would be even nicer but.

I would hope if they ever do fully address Anderson's age and actually make her look her age, they'd move beyond the hackneyed and played out angle of a woman losing her looks. I don't recall Anderson as ever having been especially bothered about that anyway.

You're quite right. I phrased that badly. I meant, there is a some good stories to be mined from an older/wiser Anderson.

Just hoping: Anderson, The menopause years!  involves some judicial retribution!

Sorry, I forgot. The Fortress of Zarjazity has seen significant progress. I'll collect up the pics from various stages of completion and try to post this weekend.

The Sex Pistols. Just. The Sex Pistols. And their enduring popularity in-spite of being shite and having always been shite.

Your mouth is full of wrong  :)

Well, If Covid hadn't happened I'd be on the road now to Thought Bubble 2020.

Nano-Bolt would have been starting her fourth year on team red-shirt and I would have been looking forward to meeting friends, many of whom I only see at this event. Heck, this year we were looking forward to spending quality time with Mr Mike Carroll and his lovely wife.

Here's to Thought Bubble - the finest convention in the country, and here's to next year!

So sad reading that...

Purely on the basis of who I would like to see more of in the prog (based on my reaction to their previous work) it would be 4-1 to Al.

No disrespect to Ian, whose work I generally enjoy - he is already romping home with this one, in any case!  But Al is the one that got away (the Next Generation) for me.

This for me ^^^

Scarlet Traces, Stickleback are two of my favourites, but for every one of them there is a Kingmaker or DemX to balance them out for me while with the very odd exception the Ale Wing droid is consistantly tickling my trout... his Dredd's are soo good.

4-1 to the big Al.

I did like the way Chopper and Armitage were portrayed but I'd still rather not see them anymore in any Dredd strips as I feel their stories are played out. I'm starting to feel the same about Anderson tbh.

At least they kept Death's Gang of Four out of it!

Just caught up on the last few progs.  They've been really good and have enjoyed it all; DREDD and Chimpsky being my favourites but others not far behind. And a fine set of covers too. The front of the SK Moore one put me in mind of Ron Smith... the back very much his own thing.

This from met  too ^^^^

only downside was the PSU Judge who had the time to read Trade magazines then info dumped the 'why' on Dredd, still its the Mighty W so we can ignore that!
