Yeah, but the Daily Mail have now devoted two days' worth of news to him...
...um, not that I read the Daily Mail or anything...

Ah, I thought you meant as in Torquemada. Sorry.
I'm with you on the personality thing. In the beginning, there was a helluva lot more character to them. In this one, all they seemed to do was shoot a lot and get a few lines each in the spotlight (e.g. Steelhorn's comment on the gas, Mongrol's smushing session, Mek-Quake's conspiracy theory). Otherwise, most of them could be the same character.
Does anyone else think Mills is getting a bit sick of having to write seven robots? He even took Deadlock out for most of the story.

"Pineapples is/was a Terminator wasn't he?"
He used to be in a crack squad called the X-Terminators, but was kicked out after a scandal. Apparently a senior officer's wife was involved, though I'm not sure exactly how, ahem.

I suppose you could justify the big muscles look by saying that it's designed to scare the hell out of the enemy.
And if Mek-Quake has a wardrobe of bodies, why did he choose that one? Were the others in the wash or something?

I always liked Mek-Quake best in his Ro-Busters incarnation, when he looked like a massive great feck-off bulldozer. Now he just looks like a midget droid with a car stereo for a head.

In terms of sheer imagination, it's got to be Kevin O'Neill for me, followed closely by McMahon. But I love Ezquerra's style, I have to admit. His work is really atmospheric- the robots really do look battered and ancient.

Here's my attempt at second-hand glory- you know that bit in Spaced where Tim gets a job in another comic shop and Bilbo convinces him to come back, then they walk out of the shop in a celebratory fashion? In real life that's an art material shop, I was in there today. Jesus what a dull fact.
But yes, the series is good.

Maybe Neville's going to have a massive character development in the next book. I was pretty sure that he was going to off that Death Eater in revenge. Maybe he could even go over to the Dark Side...
Oh yeah, news from my source on the film set: word is that they're filming Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire back-to-back due to the onset of puberty in the young cast.

I reckon she killed Sirius because there was only so much she could actually do with him. He's got to stay in hiding unless he got a pardon, in which case you'd lose the only interesting thing about the character.
I heard J. K. Rowling was planning some books set in the Harry Potter universe but not actually about Harry Potter- Fred and George's joke shop sounds like an idea with potential...

Yeah, my Solstice celebrations were ruined. We were all up for getting naked and dancing around a henge, but there aren't many pagan monuments in West London. So we just bought another round.

Is it the Summer Solstice? Good heavens. Right, when I get drunk tonight I'll pretend I'm celebrating in order to appear really spiritual.

I've read worse, but frankly I found it a bit dull. Aliens masquerading as humans has been done a million times before. And many of the little touches felt pretty old-fashioned. I mean, agents in black suits? Why has nobody worked out that there is nothing more suspicious than a couple of people in black suits?

Yeah, I'd agree there. My problem with Bec & Kawl was that it felt like Si was trying to be deliberately wacky, but Lobster Random feels like he's actually writing from the heart. Honestly, I'm not Californian.

Never McDonalds. Not ever. No way. Not in a million years. Not if a psychopath dressed as Ronald McDonald came up to me and said, "Hey, Tom. I'm gonna give you a choice. Either you can come and work for McDonalds or I'll rip your corneas off with my fingernails".
Although I have just managed to sell three non-existent sketches thanks to some truly outrageous lying. Assuming I can make said sketches exist by Friday, I should have a wee bit of cash spare. Hurrah.

Yeah, been looking at temp agencies. Unfortunately, everyone else has had the same idea. Curse them all!
