As for rocks, how about Stone from Family?
I was going to suggest gaseous characters, but there are in fact several already (Phartz, Judge Death sans body etc). Liquid characters anyone?

"Momo (shit scarey as a kid, drug addled wierdness as an adult. About Grey Men who steal time. By Michael Ende, who wrote Neverending Story)"
Weird coincidence, my amdram group is doing an adaptation of this very book in August. I'm playing one of the Grey Men, having fun scaring the crap out of the kids in the audience.

General / How important is continuity?
16 June, 2003, 11:32:03 AM
All right, here's a question for you. Just how important is continuity? Over the past few weeks, I've noticed a lot of different opinions, mostly fitting into three camps:
1. Very important, there should be no errors.
2. Not really important, it's a comic.
3. If it's not by Wagner it doesn't count.
What does everyone think?

Yeah, but did you have to deal with three-legged force-field generating gun-wielding robots? They used to have one of those at my local Inland Revenue office, but I think he works in a nearby law firm now.

Worst opening line comes from Star Wars if you view all the films in the official order:
"The taxation of interstellar trade routes is in dispute."

Here's my suggestions for changes:
1. Make Rico actually look like Dredd, get rid of that "mutation" stuff- half the reason Rico, Kraken etc. are such great characters is that they ARE Dredd, in a "there but for the grace of Grud go I" kinda way. You remove that if you say that Rico is genetically wrong.
2. Don't kill the Angel gang, you fools!
3. Get rid of the tacked on romance.
4. Make the bike more mean-looking.
5. More of the general weirdness of MC1.
Incidentally, does anyone else think the Lawgiver electrocuting a perp is an example of editing to reduce violence? Only the pawnbroker says that it can "take your arm off" if you're a non-Judge using a Lawgiver, which kinda suggests to me that the gun was originally explosive-loaded but this was changed.

I tend not to get this problem either. I think you only count as a geek if comics are all you talk about. While I was working on a play for my drama course at uni (now THAT'S geeky), I took a stack of back progs to read during slow periods. Funnily enough, I got lots of requests to borrow them, and managed to convert a load of female drama students to Squaxx dek Thargo in one afternoon. There were a couple who thought Devlin Waugh was fit, and I had to break it to them gently. I've lost my train of thought.
Oh yeah. Reading comics isn't geeky.

Cheers.
Blast, it's not working. I seem to have one of those red crosses instead of the spooky grinning maw of Inimicus.
