Loved the book
enjoyed the movie,

as book to movies go, decent enough,
i trust Mr,Wagner got to sell a few thousand more copies of the book due to the movie.

if you have not read the book, seen the movie, make a point to do so, neither disappoints.

Film & TV / I found UFO season 1
08 May, 2010, 03:25:20 PM
i found UFO the 1970 series, and along with star trek it was the very first sci-fi i watched and was hooked on.

perfection. ok its aged badly, but the basic premise and the cool vehicles, its bloody camp brillance!!!
a worthy download.

i am alone on this one, or is a shared memory of first sci fi memories.

amusing and true. fact being stranger then fiction.
CHUCK season 1. had chuck and his buddy discussing the merits of great sandwiches in one episode.

which suggests they truly nailed the whole, slighlty left of main-stream sci fi loving, gaming types. which chuck and most of us embodie.

forty the age of enlightenment!
i am personally of the age of knowing the answer to life the universe and everything.

which i believe to be 42! and i must admit my recent day off, did feel like it was the answer. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAPS! a fine vintage year it was 1970 it would seem.

i promoted my secretary/PA to use the new term, to a job in membership, better money, better hours, she deserved it.
but now we dont have any work permits to employ a new one, and locals are not that common for such posts.

i have to spend time doing my own reports,
really need to learn how to use spell check.

i have been informed by Mike Horn, adventure type, sailor, Eco warrior, that there is a place in the gulf that is the size of FRANCE which is where the worlds water tossed rubbish collects. for reasons known to nature it ends up here, and is enlarging daily.

that i would suggest could be the black atlantics forefather. in years to come.
he was at the club a couple of months back he is worth a Google to be honest. very interesting guy.

the ultimate, which tastes even sweeter now i can no longer enjoy them  :'(
the heaven.
the bacon sandwich, a hall of fame should be in culinary terms., two door step slices  freshly baked bread. lightly grilled slightly undercooked around the fatty rinds of bacon from a pig rasied on SWILL., lashings of full cream butter, and generous amounts of HP sauce.
shall be my final meal should i get to choose it.

or

the chefs hat gets placed on once more.

lightly toasted, nine cereal loaf slices, with an olive oil based margine type spread, sun dried tomatoes, crisp lollo rosso lettuce, freshly grilled chicken breast minus the skin, which has been soaked in lime jiuce and cinnamon overnight, thinly sliced sun ripened mango, and a little milled black pepper,

finest meal in the world a sandwich, invented by a british earl you know. whom did not wish to leave the gaming table whilst playing cards they say.

because, the planes are flying again, and 2 progs and a megazine turned up at 10am, on my off day, as i was about to go to the pool and sit in my rather swish TAHU lounger,
inflatable floating armchair and foot rest thingy. ;)

the maid, brought,a lunch of freshly prepared sandwiches, iced ribena, and the progs to my table,.
after this is went back to the apartment, had a jacuzzi, sat in the steam room, showered and laid in the massage chair, listening to some cold play.

lifes drokkin fantastic, cause I DID NOT MAKE THAT UP!
i finished my day, by catching up on this life embracing thread. damn i am a happy bunny.
