Then on Sunday it's off to Leicester Waterstone's for a signing with David Moody!

Ooooooo Leicester.... what time on Sunday?

Errr... there's obviously something going on here that's going right over my head...

... but...

If you don't find someone in the US to help out, there are "middleman" services out there that will forward goods to you. I've never used them - they were mentioned in this months Wired - but the companies they mentioned were:

Borderlinx
comGateway
Bundlebox
Aramex Shop and Ship
BongoUS
Parcel2Go
Shipito

Hope that helps...

Website and Forum / Re: Hiding e-Mail Address

THANK YOU! I hadn't thought to log out and see how it looked then!

Does that mean you don't see the little envelope next to my posts (with the PM button) either? I don't see it when I'm logged out - but then I don't see the PM one either then.

Told you it was likely to be me!  :-[

Website and Forum / Hiding e-Mail Address
30 January, 2011, 02:34:21 PM
I fear I may be being stupid but I don't seem to be able to hide my e-mail address on my profile summary...  :-[

Under the e-mail section of the Account Related Settings when I try and modify my profile, I do have the "Hide email address from public?" check box ticked, but it still seems to be public.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Oh bum that's a shame - I'm rather in need of Vol 3 issue 73

Sorry, I've promised most of the Volume 3s to another board member... if that all falls through, I'll let you know.
#337
:-[ DOH! Didn't get that quite right... I've also still got:

Volume 3

29, 44 – 50, 53 – 55 & 58

Volume 4

4.01, 4.03 – 4.18, 201 & 237

All the Volume 3 & 4 Megs are now spoken for.

Volumes 1 & 2 will go to eBay when I can get around to listing them...

BTW I noticed when I was sorting them that Issue 1 of Volume 2 still has the free badge attached... let me know if anyone wants that one.

do you still have the following 2000ad issues for sale?

205  228  233  234  245  246  260

Actually I have the 200 range up on eBay at the moment:

Have a look at the Flickr pictures linked to from that listing and see if the quality of those progs (I have them all) is OK for you...

If you're interested after looking, PM me...

Cheers

It can be a bit confusing, especially with the Megazines because there are multiple volumes...

Barney is a good starting point:

http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=prog

You can then relate issues back to Wake's valuation thread...

How much are you doing postage for

P&P will be at cost so it'll depend on how many you want. I normally use Royal Mail 1st class but if you want a stack, I'd look into getting a courier.

I'd also consider collection (I'm in Leicester) or possibly a drop-off if it's not too far out of my way. I fequently go to Coventry, and sometimes head down to Dorset so might be able to sort something if you're not too far off the M5 / A34 / M3...

Hey chaingunchimp, did you ever pick up those progs you were after?

I've got an almost complete run of Megazines from 1.01 through to 247 (25/7/06) which I'm planning to list on eBay soon...
Before I do that, I thought I'd give first chance to anyone here who's looking to plug gaps in their collections.
All look in really good condition to me, some still have free gifts etc.

The learned Wake values Megazines as shown below so I'll use those figures as a starting point... and if you're after more than a single issue, I'll do you a "buy 2, get 1 free" deal. Buyer to pay actual P&P costs...

Vol 1 £2 each
Vol 2 £1 each
Vol 3 £1 each
Vol 4 - present £2 each

Give me a shout if you want any info on a specific issue... I've also got photos of each individual copy if you want to assess quality.

Thanks for looking...

Just received some of these from dickieblack... all were very nice quality and the guy sorted out VERY reasonable shipping to save me having to collect.

I can vouch for the guy.  Betel is a happy bunny! :D
