That said, Grant is incorrect when he says he hasn't written such scenes before - Crazy Jane is raped in a flashback in Doom Patrol #55, in her identity of Miranda, in a church. And plenty of people get a right unwelcome bumming in the 'Tex Porneau' arc of The Filth. Oh, and Lord Fanny receives a similar treatment in The Invisibles. So, yeah, he can't really pretend he's totally averse to writing it.

I admit I haven't read it in a long time, so memory may be cheating here, but I took it that you're supposed to think he's done something of that nature to her, but by the end we can see he's actually just tattooed her posterior.

Erm. Didn't he write Britney Spears being raped by Robot Archie in the Zenith one-off in 2000/01?

Naw, that was a misconception (on Andy Diggle's part, if I recall.) Archie tattoos her butt, striking a blow for his beloved 'aciiieeeeeed' house against Spears-style pop. All the other evidence in the panels suggests that whatever else went on was quite consensual.

For example, issue 1 will see a write-up on mummy films by Davey

I look forward to seeing if Frank Agrama's 'Dawn of the Mummy' merits a mention.  :)

There were five good minutes in that film!

There were, you just have to slog through a lot to get to them. I have an inexplicable fondness for the film... much like 'Burial Ground', it's got something...

Well, as a both a profound Scream! fan and a shameless self-touting writer-whore, I would happily both read and write for such a publication. Yes.

That looks lovely. Well, maybe lovely's not exactly the right word for a seething abyss of Deep Ones, but still...

The Animal Man and Frankenstein stuff look great... that latter one may have just shifted up a notch from 'might buy' to 'will buy' (the former was always 'will buy'.)

Yeah, that's a pretty good opening hook, and I'm liking the ectoplasmic effect.

I do wish Amazon wouldn't add reviews from other volumes of the Case Files onto unrelated ones... V.18 isn't even out yet and they've slapped my review for V.17 on it...

I haven't read the issue, but that looks like a Gila Bruja on the cover, not a Gila Munja. (Gila Bruja were introduced in that Missionary Man story where he's leading a bunch of folk to some promised land. They're all a bit spooky.)

In this episode Willie goes limp.

It's sad to think that Willie can stand proud no more. But maybe if they leave him for a while he'll go hard.

Alright,
I am also in the 'Jock' contingent (i hate that phrase! lol).

Yeah, but as Scots, we're allowed to use it. We're taking it back from the man... ;)

I dunno what you reckon, Dave, but I think 'Jikan Noon' has showcased some of your best strip art yet. The stylishness continues. Loving it.
