Well what we have here is an overreaction. Judging by letter pages of late I'm sure that'll guarantee it print.

I dont see he point in nitpicking details from what was, in my opinion a quite reasonable letter. Unlike the reader who felt things were too PC, that was just silly.

On a lighter note I've just purchased the new yellow 3000tm. It's the best yellow ever!

So anyway I got prog 1349 today and decided to deliver my opinion of it in blind ignorance of the
fact that everyone has got there before me.

The cover: Not bad. Bold colours and an interesting idea are let down by the very poor cut 'n
paste job done on Lobsters head. 5/10

1) Dredd: The finale of the chief judges man storyline was satisfying. Great art and good action with
a send-off worthy of the character. The twist in the tale was good but could have been done a little
better. Wagner delivers yet again. 6/10

2) Past imperfect: Hmm. Unlike Wagner and fine wine Steve Moore doe not seem to be improving with
age. His latest tale does stray from the usual formula but still isn't great. Cam Smith had his ups
and downs as usual. Good art on the final pages however. 2/10

3) Lobster Random: Good stuff for the finale and the double-legnth installment didn't ruin it.
Wow. Art was great and the surprises were surprising. The lead character was a bit too much of a
smartass for my liking but all in all a good story with a good ending. 2000AD NEEDS tales like these,
ones that DO surprise and ARE funny and dont necessarily have to be huge and explosive to entertain.
5/10

4) Rogue: Still not enjoying it. I'm not sure if there are any good tales tobe told with Rogue.
Sorry. While it's true to say that Rennies Rogue is three times better than the original that still
isn't much of a compliment. I'd like to see other writers takes on Rogue if just to see wheter it
is possible to write agood Rogue Trooper without copying Cinnabar. 3/10

Overall I rate this prog 5/10 a high score indeed on the Jaredometer. I have high standards as you've
probably guessed and hopefully the summer assault (Two thirds Wagner? How telling...) will deliver,
though Slaines presence is likely to impact negatively on my final rating.

I hate ps2. It's advertisers are a cunning bunch and cover up the consoles many shortcomings with stylish adverts.

X-box is certainly the best console hardware-wise but there aren't actually very many good games for it (still more than ps2).

Eye toy is grat but I still want a lovely gamecube withe link and Wario and all the real gaming heroes. I just hope gamecube Dredd isn't too crap to play.

Jared "informed" Katooie.

p.s I think you might just like the gameboy advance Paul. Many of it's best games are easy to play, even for elderly the very grumpy players.

I miss the board.

Without I've started talking to myself constantly again and going into hysterics during prayertime.

Personally i think the strips are too upbeat. A really, really miserable one would make me feel better about life and stuff.

Ugh...
