General / Re: Over Rated Much? The 2000AD Confessional

Ever since I misread an old 2000 AD coming next week and thought for some reason the VC's were fighting the menace that is The Greeks I have never got into a future war story and I have pretty much never really embraced Rogue Trooper in any incarnation.

Thanks everyone.

To Smallbluething - unfortunately Mr Allan went to the great 70's newsagent in the sky about 25 years ago.  I still think about him and his shop a lot.

To Dandontdare - I did sue Tharg for the rash, but as this was in the early days I got my settlement in Styrofoam cups.

Ah well.

Leviathan, Necronauts (I'm still haunted by the last few panels), Meltdown Man and I always really liked a story about a guy with square scars on his face in a post apocalyptic city that turned out to be a spaceship?

Bad City Blue?

Is that real or am I imagining it?

I have no idea why I have taken so long to join this forum.

2000AD has been with me since I went into Mr. Allan's newsagent on my way to school on a bright and crisp morning in 1977.  He was a great guy who, if I remember looked like Eric Morecambe and knew that I liked comics so kept one for me just in case.

So, for 33 years 2000AD has been with me - from the lows, losing my Space Spinner, peeling off my biotronic stickers and leaving a rash, from the change from Saturday publication to Wednesday publication to the highs, way to many to mention and possibly a bit early in my forum life to incriminate myself by admitting what some of those highs were 'The Mind of Wolfie Smith' surviving the 'exciting news inside for all readers' announcement in Tornado being one of them (a short lived one).

It has been a ritual and a constant companion for me.

So, here I am.

And glad to be here.
