Returning to the theme of soaps tackling the 'issues', they always portray the worst possible way to deal with whatever issue they chosen to tackle. And if a social worker, or anyone official, is involved in the plot they are always either incompetent, utter irredeemable bastards or both.

Took me a whole 2 years of picking at those bloody shows to ween the missus off them.

And I hate the way they crank the volume up in the ads.

I heard some rumour that he was fixing to get the rights to likenesses of dead Hollywood icons so he can digitally recreate them. If that's true, some one needs to tell him he's a very silly man.

Maybe just for kids was the wrong choice of words. My problem is that sometimes certain products are aimed at the young people, and they completely miss the point; young people are just normal people like you or me except they haven't been around as long. I know ten year olds that are smarter and have more common sense than most of the grown ups I have to deal with on a daily basis. Yet for whatever reason, the people who make things for these 'kid' creatures, assume the species to be a bit dim.

Now this isn't always the case, things like Spongebob Suarepants and everything Pixar has ever made have shown that if you don't patronise the kids, a lot of adults will enjoy it too.

Making something just for kids is risky biscuits. Ye could end up alienating older audiences, and I think the other Star Wars trilogy achieves just that and scant else.

As for making the prog a kids comic? Here's my tuppence worth: It would have to be made on the cheap, kids don't have much money, nobody'll employ them, I think it might be illegal or something.

I believe George Carlin said it best:

"When you're born you get a ticket to the freak show. When you're born in America, you get a front row seat."

I've got to say we had an epic day of shooting.

At first I thought that said an epic day of shouting

Sounds like a fun day

I think I would prefer lists like this if they didn't put them in order. Ten of the best instead of Top Ten. Mind you that's a bit New Labour

Ebay would be yuour best bet for wind waker, I just got it myself there for £30, and that included the bonus ocarina:master disc. Wind Waker is probably one of the best all round packages I've ever played. If you're getting it for the wii though, you'll need a gamecube memory card

Off Topic / Frank Zappa

Picture a Venn Diagram: One circle represents 2000AD fans, the other, Frank Zappa fans. Do the two intersect much?

Been collecting Zappa Albums on and off for a few years now and I'm wondering where to go next. So Far I have (in the order I can remember them):

Hot Rats
Weasels Ripped My Flesh (Sugarcane Harris's rendition of Little Richie's 'Directly From My Heart To You', is something else)
Burnt Weeny Sandwich
Freak Out
We're Only In It For The Money
The Grand Wazoo (Cleetus Awreetus- who knew Honky-Tonk piano and wah-wah porn-funk could work so well together?)
Absolutely Free
Joe's Garage
The Mothers Live at the Fillmore
Apostrophe(')
Waka/Jawaka

Any Zappa fans out there have any suggestions?

That's Zappa on vocals on The torture never stops but that is indeed the Captain on the link to Willie The Pimp.

Beefheart did the Vocals on The Man From Utopia, or was it Cheap Thrills, or maybe it was both. On a
