Finally got caught up on episode 3. Then watched all three again. I thought it was a bit cheeky of Jon Favreau to take sole writing credit for his adaptation of the Tatooine section from KOTOR. The Razorcrest is really developing as a character in its own right.

... threatening to 'burn their merch'...

Yes, because unsubscribing from Disney+ just doesn't have the same je ne sais quois. Would it not be more sensible to just burn your money before giving it to Disney?

And it's weird that frog lady is getting a lot of attention, but what about spider lady and her babies? We actually saw the Child eat a baby spider! Actual live young! And those spiders were clearly sentient.

It's not even the first frog we've seen the Child eat!

I thought the mammy looked more like a Salamander.

We should now have a protracted pointless argument about a minor detail in Star Wars.

This is the way.

So why outrage at one and not the other? It doesn't make sense.

Possibly alt-right sock puppets trying to make libs look ridiculous?

Disney shills fooling neckbeards into liking Disney Wars to own the libs?

Lockdown fever with a smidge of intellectual dishonesty?

America's top military officer says "We do not take an oath to a king"
QuoteAmerica's top military officer has spoken at a Veteran's Day event in the midst of a chaotic week at the Pentagon and said, 'we do not take an oath to a king or a queen, a tyrant or a dictator. We do not take an oath to an individual.' General Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said 'each of us will protect and defend that document regardless of personal price'.

US election security officials reject Trump's fraud claims
Quote"While we know there are many unfounded claims and opportunities for misinformation about the process of our elections, we can assure you we have the utmost confidence in the security and integrity of our elections, and you should too," it added, without naming Mr Trump directly.

I only ever read the first Harry Potter book. I remember thinking the characters were all being tad melodramatic. All that silliness about not invoking Voldemort's name, lest it empowers him to return.

I think I get it now.

In another news, when Trump declared "Stop the Count!", some of his supporters misinterpreted and thought they could claim a bounty. They were heard asking "Can you tell me how to get...how to get to Sesame Street?"

Take heart Mister Back. At least the guidelines on mitigating the spread where you are doesn't depend on Sínn Fein and the DUP agreeing on something.

Okay, not a massive fan of the Star Wars movies, with the recent additions not doing much for me in any way, shape or form, but... the trailers look excellent, the casting choices - Werner Herzog! - are pretty great, so i'm wondering can i dive into series 1 or do i need to re-watch the movies so i don't miss anything!

You could have been living under a rock on Mars since Return of the Jedi and watch this without missing anything but some subtle easter eggs, which I probably missed too.

Honestly "there was once an Evil Galactic Empire which was defeated in a big Star War" is probably all the context you need.

Jo-Jo Rabbit really good. Thought the actor playing Jo-Jo was fantastic and some great side characters. I know there was some criticism whether we should have films about Hitler youth and is it a subject to take lightly but funny moments aside it has it's thought provoking moments.
I'd recommend it.

Agreed. I was that at the cinema. Yeah, while they did play the Hitler Youth stuff for laughs they never depicted it as a good thing, in fact the lad
overcoming his negative indoctrination
was kind of the point, so I had no problem with it.

Yeah, this movie doesn't make light of or excuse nazis like former President Trump, it aped and lampooned them, made them look very silly. Silly like former President Trump

***SPOILERS***:
I wonder how the Disney-isn't-Star-Wars-and-Chuck-Wendig-is-a-Cuck crowd will react to Favreau using the entirety of the Empire's End version of the story of Fett's armour, verbatim?
Mando Chapter 10 seems to be getting a bit of a kicking around the place...

I like you Mister Back, but you seem much too concerned with the opinion of weird internet weirdos.

'Tis a fine show, a welcome return to episodic adventures. Nutrek and Kurtzmann should take note.

I remember the last time Trump got elected I had just finished reading Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72 by Hunter S. Thompson*. His almost 50 year old words are sadly still relevant.

"Liberalism itself has failed, and for a pretty good reason. It has been too often compromised by the people who represented it."

"The main problem in any democracy is that crowd-pleasers are generally brainless swine who can go out on a stage & whup their supporters into an orgiastic frenzy—then go back to the office & sell every one of the poor bastards down the tube for a nickel apiece."

"A lot of blood has gone under the bridge since then, and we have all learned a hell of a lot about the realities of Politics in America. Even the politicians have learned – but, as usual, the politicians are much slower than the people they want to lead."

But most importantly

"Every now and then you have to get away from that ugly Old Politics trip, or it will drive you to kicking the walls and hurling AR3's into the fireplace."

*The real one, not the cartoon character portrayed by wife beater** Johnny Depp in the Terry Gilliam movie

**I can call him that without fear of reprisal.

I was going to act shocked that Americans wouldn't vote out a shower of hugely incompetent clowns who can't govern and don't care about their constituents. I was going to smugly denigrate the people of America who put tribalism over their own interests.

But I live in Belfast...
