Film & TV / Re: Avatar - Dec 17th...

And another one finally get to see it.  And love it.

Despite the best efforts of the ludicrous "queue to get tickets from the food stand where they try and sell you food even though the film is about to start and half the audience are still queuing to pick up pre-ordered tickets"

However I did keep getting pulled out of the moment by the "sticky" jewelry of the Na'vi ladies - which was obviously a late addition to appease the American fear of nipples.

Very interesting,

Strange it's not picked up by D'Izzy in his Notes for Episode 1

First real exposure to CoD and impressed so far.  However it's a tad difficult!

Picked up in Sainsbury's last night for £26 queue of middle aged men picking up copies.  Double takes as guys walk in to see the price, followed by detour from shopping accompanied by quick mobile calls to mate/brother/so to see if they want a copy.

Kudos to Sainsbury for limiting it to one sale at a time, but allowing you to rejoin the queue to buy another.

PIcked this up at the weekend and apart from a few comments like this I'm suprised to not see more of this here,

Very nice steampunk meets rupert the bear via tintin and luther arkwright.

Most enjoyable!

Do you flip to the end of a novel after chapter 3?

Hold your horses!  I'm sure that we will, over time find answers to those questions.

On the other hand we can have a lot of fun speculating on what *we* think are the reasons...  ;D

The way things are currently going in Green Lantern, we may be revisiting that panel pretty soon :)

I still haven't see my copy of 1653 in the post, down here in London.

This postage strike is starting to really annoy me.

You're not alone!

This will be the third prog in a row that I will have to buy along with my other comics on a Thursday, rather than read on a Saturday.

Good thing that I have too, as the previous 2 are still sat in a sorting office somewhere.

Chalk up another MIA prog here as well.  Today's London postal strike makes their arrival anytime soon unlikely.

If it's not arrived tonight, it'll be another dupe from the comic shop (assuming that they ever arrive)

Indeed it is.

75% through.  All the riddles solved that I can currently get to,  Think it may be the climax tonight - wonder what time I'll get to bed?
