Just finished this...

Happy Birthday to Gordon.  Great letter and Boo-Hiss on the columns.

Nice Cards again, although surely some controversial choices - the Anderson one at least was maligned when it was originally out.  And glad to see they've amputated De Marco's legs...

Really nice lead Dredd.  Ming do you remember http://www.2000adonline.com/?zone=fan&page=message&choice=9059.0600000000">this?

Shimura - Amber is certainly up to something.  And along with Si's column the Meg is steadily getting more adult.

More flashback in Steve and Alan's strip.  Another nice little story.  And Anderson finishes on a nice note.  Shame about the large blue blob I have on page three.  And Carnivore.  Yes.

Only got the Bishop columns to read and that's me done.

Still, gotta have a hobby dontcha?

2000ad takes a back seat to the Meg this month, but continues with some themes.  Especially with the Dredd referencing an older story.  Hope that Total War has something to do with this, otherwise we are onto the new stuff...

SCB continues to have some decent moments and for me some poor artwork.  I think that I would have prefered to see it edited down to an 8 parter before the art was commissioned, and give Pleece some more time...

Something about the colouring of Tiger Sun... is wrong for me, otherwise quite enjoyable.  Although the girl seems to lose more clothing through the strip than we see explanation for.  Why it's Dredd world though I am yet to see...

Sin/Dex - passable for them. No problems with the artwork.  Wonder if Art had anything to do with the story?

And Dante is picking up a bit, even if the last 2 pages are rather derivative...

Thats me out of ellipse, so on to someone else...

The only Eisner I have read is "Contract..."

I have not read Maus.  Or History of Violence, or much of Hellblazer (I blame the fact you can't tell which order to but the collections).

I have read Miracleman (I own books one and two from a pound shop clearout).  Love Swamp Thing

Not too impressed with Tom Strong.  Still trying to get my head around Promethea.

I was slightly scared about some rumblings wrt "Britain after a Nazi invasion" but it's sounding better.

Much scarier if we do it to ourselves.

Thought this was worth a Necro Post.

Tucked away in the back pages of this weeks Ex-Machina is a trail for the afore-mentioned 49ers.

What's makes this worth the thread-revival, is that, ladies and gentlemen, we have a date.

The Hardcover should be reaching the shops on the 25th May this year.

Should be good.

Looks like it is a hardback full GN, so not a monthly.

I am sure that it will be a paperback at some point, but is going down the usual ABC route of hardcover first.

It's the only real complaint I have about ABC tbh...

Looking at the preview site for May I notice that there is a new Top 10 hardback coming out from Messrs Moore and Ha.

I look a bit further and there are even some preview pages available - and they look gorgeous.

Unfortunatly this particular Dante stroy should have been published several years ago so that Nikolai could jump the shark in a Moonlighting fashion.

However as the fish has already been leapt, it'll probably still be Jena.

Or they will both die

Ultimate Nightmare was pretty good, but is Part 1 of 3.
