There's a link to a larger, advert-free, Quicktime version of the trailer over on Movie-Link.

You want the "Internet Trailer" over to the Right.

There's a bug where the "italics off" tag in the title has been cut out by the elipsis in the previous message list.

The only way to avoif it is to add a load of "italics off" tags at the top of your message.

It may be a coherent world, but there is an issue with the filter masks in the 2nd half of the story - see the other Firekind thread for more details...

Alan Barnes mentions in the intro that it is Episode 7, and likens it to missing out something vitally important like Indy escaping the Well of Souls.

Actually, reading back, it makes more sense with 7, than without, however, it just reads like a movie "Jump Cut"

As I (just) class in my twenties, I will reply to our trout lord ;)

Really do like Firekind, it has a really good alien world, as well as weird tech.  I really don't have a  problem with John Smith's technobabble as it's very rare that he pulls something out of the hat to save the story if it ain't there previously...

Whether it's a classic though, I'm not sure.  One of the better things at the time tho.

There are certainly more than a few conflicts - thinking about it more are the names of the angels in Preacher the same as the one's in charge of Hell?

It's highly likely that I've got the bag ladies mixed up, especially as I don't read Hellblazer.

As for Lucifer, I'm certainly enjoying it.

After retrieving them from my parent's loft the other week I settled down to re-read Sandman for the first time in quite a while.  And noticed something.

Obviously there are some connections between Sandman and the rest of the DC Universe, for example John Constantine and J'onn J'ozz... as well as the whole Lucifer spin off.  However I've noticed another one that I wasn't aware of.

There may be spoilers to Preacher and Lucifer, as well as Sandman, below...

In the first couple of books there is mention on Mad Old Hettie, who is a couple of hundred years old constantine and Hob Gadling both know her).  Mad Old Hettie crops up a couple of issues of Preacher.  In Preacher God has Quit.  In Lucifer (which is of course based on Sandman's Lucifer) God has also quit.  So is this the same event?

Preacher was always outside of the DCU for me.  But perhaps not...

Any other connections like this around between stories?

Am I the only cynic noting the "leak" of the first episode onto the interweb the weekend before there is a big push of publicity about it?

Both the Grauniad and the Beeb had interviews with Russel T Davies today, before the news of the leak hit.

Not that I'm bitter I missed it on BitTorrent.  Oh no

Not entirely sure that this applies to you Dane, but when you go to the Print dialogue, there is an >Options button that allows you to include things like Hidden Text and Comments on the printed output.

One of these might be what you are looking for, although you will need to be makeing your PDFs using a postscript filemaker as if it was a Printer.

HTH
