It's all gone Turkish, guv? Leave it aht etc.

Nah, the Monroe Doctrine isn't that significant, at least not for a while yet I reckon. That just seemed like a quick way of telling us the septics won't get involved straight away.

I'll bet a Volgan helmet that Book One will end with Bill topping a relative though.

Ahh, the summer of '78. Ally's Tartan Army, knocked out by Peru, finished off by ants. Marvellous.

Which brings me to a question - is it a better cliff hanger if the question is "How will they get out of that" and they do in some clever way or if they don't and what you saw at the end of last weeks episode was exactly that?

Dunno, really. Both of those kind of depend on what does happen next week, and the better cliffhangers rely more on what's gone before, depending on how much foreshadowing there is and that.

After some deliberation, it has to be Judge Giant getting shot in the back by Orlok.

I aplogise for the lack of Real 'Kirbyness' in that pic

To make it even more Kirbyesque let Eyebrows blatantly swipe the pic and nab your prize, then fall out with Al-Says-Pop over whose idea it was, and then watch in horror as Shaky Kane bases his entire act on old Whistler episodes.

Booo! No Kirby Dots! And where's the next page ad for Sea Monkeys, Charles Atlas or Twinkies? You're fired!

Sorry, the Nearly Man from Marshal Law

Best nearly-nob gag ever.

Most cringeworthy superhero - "Captain Planet he's our hero, going to get pollution down to zero..."

I discounted Rick Random, simply because (as far as I know) the story in the prog was a deliberate attempt to recreate the old strip from Super Detective Library with the original artist, so on that score it's a triumph, faithfully capturing the dull melodrama and ray guns of the 1950's.

(Why they chose to run a new strip that looked like reprint I've no idea. It's not exactly Dan Dare's http://www.dandare.org/dan/phoenix/phoenix.htm>The Phoenix Mission is it?!)

Still yet to see anything worse on this thread than Outlaw getting his bike nicked, though. No excuses for that turkey.http://www.2000adonline.com/images/character/random.jpg">
