Seen Layer Cake.
Excellent Brit gangster flick in the tradition of Lock Stock,Snatch etc.
Goes to show the Brits can still make a corking movie.

Loved Vanguard.
Reminded me of Babylon 5 in a way.
Missed out on the graphic novel at Dreddcon as when I went back they had packed them away.
Anyone know where I can get a copy from?
Amazon don't list it.

General / 1410... display this with Barbie?

After the debate at Dreddcon as to who the audience should be for 2000,and wether a younger readers edition should be in the market look at this weeks hard ass cover.
Last week we had the lovely storybook look of Ian Gibsons Robo-Hunter cover, looking like a kids comic, sitting next to the juvenile titles in W.H.Smiths fitting in well,''ooh look at the cute dragon'' says Mum, ''I'll buy this for little Tommy'', and now this week we have this superb rendition of Dredd surrounded by nuclear holocaust. Next to Barbie? I don't think Mum will be buying for little Tommy this time.
Still at least it will stand out in the mass of kids comics on the rack this week.

It was only shown on BBC Oxford (south). Not BBC South as an entity on it's own.
The link is indeed only showing green pixalated static. Maybe it will be up later?
The other news progs work fine.

Ha!!
Misinformed, only by chance I skipped to 955, which was BBC Oxford.
I was on there along with Mangamax. Loads of boarders but can't think of names.
Shame that we were portrayed as STRANGE. But expected nothing else really.
Check out the link. The report should be on there shortly but only untill tomorrows bullitin.
I asked the camera man at Dreddcon if he could post it to the BBC comics site which he thought was a good idea.Hopefully it will turn up there.

The guy filming at Dreddcon from the BBC said the feature would be on BBC South tonight at 18.25.
Check out satellite channel 954 for anyone not living in the area.
Wait and see.............

Cover, awsome man!
Excellent Dredd episode, stop over before the next nuke out.
Baaaadd Future Shock.Gary Crutchley's art is akin to a very early Clff Robinson/Bolland without the style.
Robo-Hunter carries on the comedy.
Asylum 2, love the art work, shame about the story.
Strontium Dog is shaping up to be a classic.
Overall strong start, strong finish with dead wood in the middle.

Dreddcon was a top day, cheers Rebellion.
Thanks too all the artists who did sketches, all the gos (which I'm not going to repeat here) and to Rebellion for letting me hawk the 2000ad model kit fanzine around.
Thanks to everybody that bought one too.
Speaking of which, I still have some copies. Any one who I missed, or couldn't make it that would like one email me through the board. Cost ?5.50 inc postage.Feel the thrill power!!

I asked Ian and he said that Lifeboat had been picked up by a Dutch publisher (I think) and all is go. He has total creative control too. Look for it next year.
