That was top Dredd. Am I reading too much into it, or was Dredd's ruined uniform intended to mirror some of its damage during the Apocalypse War? There's even a stain on his badge where the bullethole was.

Survival Geek and Max Normal were still good fun, and I'm happy to see a bit more plot in Kingmaker. (Dystopian fantasy stories are common now, and this isn't the best of them. I recommend Spurrier's book Coda, from Boom.)

Look forward to new Scarlet Traces next week!

Finding out that Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone didn't really write all of those books with their names on them was a bit like finding out Father Christmas wasn't real.

My favourite story was Survivals Geeks, which was a lot of fun. That letter made me a bit teary, too, reading it almost exactly two years aince my own mum died. She introduced me to comics as a way of encouraging me to read. A nice sentiment making that the star letter with added KTT. Well done, Tharg!

The best thing about these is they have exactly as many practical uses as Helm himself.

Top Dredd, including the dialogue. These were major events and we're getting insight into Dredd's character from the writer who created and developed it. To say it doesn't sound like Dredd is to call for a formulaic approach to all Dredd dialogue. If Wagner wants to script it differently, we have to trust him on it. This had impact.

I loved this Dredd story. Every panel of art was excellent and the story was compelling and even ended with a twist. This is good comics, and John Wagner is (IMO) the most consistently good writer in comics.

Jaegir was exciting stuff, too. I'm anticipating the next series and I loved the way it suddenly switched to the team story that Grennie has clearly been building up to quietly. Also Coleby is a bloody good artist who doesn't get enough praise.

The rest of the comic didn't grab me, especially the story that included four pages of 16-panel layouts showing talking heads. I'll look forward to more Brink instead. When Dabnett is good, he's great.

Cheers

There's never an idea time to become a parent and pretty much every parent does their best. The fact you're asking the question shows a good attitude. Congratulations and good luck!  :)

I am the proud owner of the only unsigned copy of the comic Turning Tiger that is known to exist. I treasure it.

While I dislike threads that say "reprint this" because I'm far from convinced they translate into actual sales when things are reprinted...

I'd buy the living shit out of a reprint of The Computer Warrior. I agree it would be an IP nightmare but the nostalgia factor on that would be off the charts.

It's a puzzle! (6,7)

I wondered something similar. If not this, then something from the same world?

I feel like Way gets judged more harshly for being a rock star. I was reluctant to like his other stuff, but I did like it.
