Pretty sure I see Zenith influences too. Gerard Way is heavily influenced by Grant Morrison. I like it, though.

That Dredd story is so good it made me say "oh fuck" out loud.

I'll miss Brink. Standout story of the last year for me.

I now enjoy Jaegir at least as much as I ever enjoyed Rogue Trooper.

The other strips don't float my boat but it doesn't matter in an anthology with three strong stories.

I thought The Haunting of Hill House was particularly good. Clever horror that jumps between present day and flashback material, filling in background and providing twists.

Grammar is more important than mathematical correctness. We should have a riddles thread so I can annoy people there, too.  :D

I can't imagine a better tribute to our favourite Grumpy Fucker than to line him up for CJ. Thank you, John. I came over all emotional until I remembered the man himself would have told me to stop being such an arse and drink my pint.  :D

As for the prog, Wagner-McNeill Dredd never disappoints, Brink is rolling along well and that's a strong start for the Three-iller. I'm happy.

Before you click the link, know this: once seen, it cannot be unseen...

Leonard Nimoy's Ballad of Bilbo Baggins

So great I just shared it on Facebook.

Ah, my fishy liege- that sounds lovely, but I doubt anything will be better than sprouts with creme fraiche and bacon...

A treat my teenagers actually requested be on the table for Christmas dinner.

... while the wife requested NBC suit respirators?

:o

It would be worth it.

I really enjoyed this prog. Brink was my top thrill and that's a good fun Dredd. Skip Tracer isn't grabbing me but I did enjoy the 3thriller and Fiends. I think many of you were a little unkind to a perfectly solid January prog. Cheer up, chaps!

And Ken Niemand is Scojo.  ;)

The weirdest thing is, just today I was reading something in which there was a reference to someone "literally" having "lost the plot" and I frowned at the phrase, thinking it a little clumsy. Now I discover I used the same phrase myself 15 years ago.

I think this is making my brain foggy.
