Beautiful stuff - I cannae help but yearn for his fully-coloured work though, the entire Scarlet Traces saga (including WotW prequel) is literally breathtaking

what a guy!

I think a friend of mine said the t'other day that Spielberg was a legendary director simply because of the sheer diversity of his work

I argued saying that 'no matter what he does there's always over-sentimental melodrama drenching the ending' - War of the Worlds was disgusting in that sense, it needed more Jeff Wayne references

It's a bit...slow and pretty much what just what the first teaser showed. Awesome idea though - could be brilliant - !

well it entirely depends on how much money this one makes - if the third one gets a massive box office then you'll have trouble keeping them from doing another

that's why we're all desperately awaiting Saw VIII good lord

"..it made a refreshing change for a children's fantasy film to be done so 'straight' without added cutesyness, Christmasyness or celebrity-voiced comedy sidekicks."

loathe as I am to disagree with you given that I'm a firm defender of the original film (- but this is a forum after all -), the comedy sidekick/christmasyness was in there definitely (in the form of a Cockney Beaver and Father Christmas probably)

"I'm still miffed that The Magician's Nephew was skipped"

I think they're doing it in the order of how he wrote them - because then also the actor's wouldnae age terribly although Edmund will be like, thirty when it's time for Dawntreader.

and according to this order I think Magician's Nephew is second to last so it'll be Narnia created followed by Narnia destroyed.

Agreed on the whole 'Everything you know will change' line - not groovy

I saw that last week - quite revealing for a 'first trailer' as it were

Looks good, I was in love with the books and BBC series as a child so these films can't fail to ensnare me (although others fail to understand the appeal).

Don't know how they're gonna handle the bizarre happy clappy ending though - great ideas about the 'Spanish' invaders

The man is right - !

More Dante, more ABCs, more significant SinDex arcs, and all the new Stronts would be tastic(although won't they show up at the end of the Stront case files?)

Hoho - AVAILABILITY indeed

You could always look into books four and five for £50 each :S

I think that Zenith is urgently in need of a re-showing (and YES I did hear your legal comment, but if the fans demand it perhaps...)

Agreed on another Zenith graphic novel - the first book of that is mindblowing...but I never managed to read the others.

Which is rather a shame I think - AVAILABILITY issues I believe it was

Oz would be brilliant as well

A large format Bellardinelli thing would be nice - but I guess a lot of that has been reprinted in the Extreme Editions over the last three years or so ...

"I'd also like to see Bix come back to tooth.
If the original writer/artist team wasn't available, who to take over????"

well ... no one could do Bix Barton like the creators - I mean - Imagine it with ... Steve Roberts or something...what would be the point - ?

Although Simon Davis' Carry On cover for the Extreme Ed was awesome
