When I was 14 I got a tape from my soon to be sister in law. Before I tell you what it was,I should point out that at this point in my life I was proud to be a punker, wore nothing but black combats and counted the Dead Kennedys as the finest band EVAH!

So I opened the present to find none other than Jon Bon Jovi-Young Guns OST.

"I was going to get you a mix tape, but then remembered you liked heavy metal"

I know she meant well. I even had to put it on so everyone could enjoy it!

I know Simon Harrison done work for the Warhammer comic-a story about a Wood Elf IIRC.It was nice work-really suited the WH Fantasy world, but I thought the story was crap...

It has to be Johnny Alpha!Even his name is a bit like a rock star...

He's a bit on the outside, looks normal but a right wierdy. The man has depth and humanity but is handy with the number 4 cartridge when occasion demands!

Well,he was obviously asking for it.

I mean, taking a walk while under the influence with a dog-an animal that can freely lick its bollies-is asking for trouble.

Did he think it just wanted to see him home safely?Probably had Pedigree Chum smeared on the arse of his strides!

I believe that the word "ganche",however you spell it, refers to parts only ladies possess.Below the equator, like.

But I'm open to suggestions.

But it was good to see *some* recognition for Will and a mention of toothy.

Oh,that's him then?

The only problem is,when Joe Lindsay comes on screen(so he does),Mrs Mikey dissolves into paroxisms of rage including gnashing of teeth and mutterings of "that feckin ganche"

I don't really know why.

I too am heartily disappointed by the subject matter.

What *would* happen if you were bitten by a radioactive activist?

Aieee!And there'd be beards!

Rac-I remember submitting,but no deal :(

Harry 20 on the High rock was lush-it was great to see it again in the Meg.

I was thinking about it the other day-would such a story be welcomed by the readers nowadays?Or would it be deemed too simplistic?

To quote/paraphrase "I smell vigilante,creep!"

There was a letter in the last ish I read about Dredd having become softer in recent times-not sure if it's just that there has been more focus on him as a person rather that a function.

I agree with Fate-can see potential, but feel resistance to the idea in principle, grudammit!

If it were me,the key issue would be what you get out of it-if it's something you really enjoy which enlivens an otherwise tedious job,it's bound to be worthwhile for yourself.

However,I would suspect that the Uni knows it's getting a good deal.Ask them for equilvalent pay for the work,if you haven't already.Look at your job description-if it's extra work, surely that should attract extra money.

IMO,I would be inclined to turn it down, provided there's no detriment to your current contract/employment.

Or become a Bounty Hunter :)
