[Dredd]

Really superb cover! I can almost smell the burned flesh...

Dredd - still absolutely loving it I have to say. No nit picking or gripes from me and I've felt more jeopardy and tension in this on the whole than in DoC. I'll put it down to reading it as the big ol' Aimee denoument. And [spoiler]the horse's appearance[/spoiler] was a nice surprise - be interested to see how this works out and if this will resolve what it actually is or represents. Beyond a mystery like.

The Alienist is grand so far, particularly enjoying the art. Think it's shaping up well.

The 3riller was ok (sorry I can't recall the title right now) and has nicely set the scene.

Was pleased to see Grey Area back as I feel with the last series it finally started to build on a lot of the character development of the previous runs and finally get epic.

And the glorious, glorious Helium finished. In a way I would have liked it to be a one off, but I'm certainly not going to complain about another book or two if it keeps being so damn good! I can see why folks are starting to conflate this and Brass Sun, and who knows if they're linked? But no such worries from me - this has been a joy to read.

ISTR that earlier this year when they announced their outline plans, Dredd and Hammerstein were penciled in for release August/September right enough. But there was no mention of Gronk or Judge Fish at that time, and schedules are under constant review at 3a. I do think we'll see some more before this Xmas - whether it's the figures  announced we'll just have to wait and see as ever. Hopefully we get a bit of warning for the Dredd and Lawmaster pack! Can't wait to see the Lawmaster finished I must say.

For those interested, Scott has sent me a list of the parts he used for the figure:

'- Head is from Hot Toys Green Goblin figure.

- Mask is from Hot Toys Winter Soldier and modded by me.

- T shirt black short sleeved Soldier Story one with a custom made vinyl  "Z" sticker attached.

- Jacket is from Hot Toys marcus wright.

- Trousers are a pair of 1/6 3A yellow hornet trackie bottoms over a pair of Hot Toys Tony Stark mechanic jeans. The trackies sit better over these better than just on their own.

- Boots are a pair of Hot Toys Loki and custom painted.

- Guitar is from Hot Toys the Crow figure.

- Hands are from Playhouse and were custom painted.'

He has also promised a few more pics, so I'll share em when I get em.

Got word from FP that my pre order shipping date has been put back till 30th October - was hoping it'd arrive next month, but there you go.

I asked Scott if he'd like to share the process and he's said he'll put a step by step together this week sometime. He's good people!

Cor! I like my Hammerstein copper-hued, personally, but that looks like a fairly Langley-influenced sculpt so the gunmetal makes perfect sense.

Yeah, it's a Return to Mars style Craig an no mistake - the hammer has the 'Live For War...' inscription on it. I always  think of Hammerstein as copper hued an all, but had to remain true to the Langley version! Do you reckon a certain Mr Pineapples would suit that colour? (it does take me a while and I'll need my A game to do your magnificent sculpt justice Jimbo!)

Finished Hammerstein today - not entirely sure about my silver/gunmetal wear and tear, but I'm not going to change it now. This is definitely my favourite model from them so far - hope you enjoy seeing it.

Brilliant isn't it? That's one of his custom stands too.
