Got through some of the extras and the Raiders making of is brilliant.
Oh, by the way - It's now "Indiana Jones and the Raiders Of The Lost Ark".

Hadn't seen the film for a good ten years and, after all the pap that's been out just lately, isn't it good to watch a film where you can watch every bit of it with no need to jump chapters.
Have to say though, the 3 effects heads at the end do look a bit ropey shown in DVD. Same with the patently obvious action men standing in for dead Nazi's when the fire consumes the chamber.

Got the box set today - 32.99 from Smiths, which was pretty good i thought - but have only watched Raiders so far.
Lovely picture quality but was disapointed with the sound. It's now in 5.1, and THX to boot, but just doesn't have the "oomph" to it. Was really expecting something impressive at the start but it was all a bit flat. The only part that was impressive is that throbbing noise when the Ark starts to react at the end.
Was struck by how YOUNG everyone looked - Molina looks about 13 - and how short the film is. I was sure it went over the 2 hour mark

And i didn't get that either (sob!)

Truly is an excellent film - would be even better if they CGI'd the armour out

No, no, no - about bloody time someone did a film that looks authentic and based on the original tales - no suits of armour, poncy outfits like above or even Camelot for that matter.

Angle on the shoulder pads wrong - it looks like the side nearest to Dredds neck has been peeled up and back to the viewer
