No, sorry Wake but we were just on a day trip to London.
They seem to be a good bunch in the shop and you never know, if you give them a call they might put it by for you. Then, maybe one of the boarders from London could pick it up for you or - failing that - if the shop wouldn't mind holding it for a while - i could pick it up when i go back on the 19th March.
Or maybe they do mail order?

General / Belardinelli art for sale - cheap

If anyone's interested, there's a page of Beladinelli's Slaine art for sale at Comic Showcase in Oxford Street.
It's going for ?30 which i don't think is bad considering its age and that there's plenty of Slaine plus Niamh too.

Yeah it was good. Lots of stalls that had virtually all the British boys comics from the 60's - 80's plus one's i'd never heard of from the 50's and before. Prices varied quite a bit, especially annuals - you'd find one for a fiver on one stall then the same across the room for 20.
Oddly though only one stall had 2000 AD and that was the guy from Dreddcon 3.
Good to meet Sydney Jordan too.

Aaaah, the sweets of youth. Wrapped up in the memories of Action, Battle and Warlord is the obligatory trip to the sweetshop on the way to school for "a quarter of..." in a little white paper bag. Mine were always "Army & Navys" - slabs of dark grey concrete that took ages to dissolve and turned your tongue black for a week.
Do they still do em?

They were part of a whole batch of dodgy American tv shows that had episodes transfered to 35mm and spliced together for release in european cinema's. A v. bad idea, up there with film versions of UK tv shows - i mean, TWO On The Buses films???

We've got the version 2 trailer of the Hulk now and - i dunno. Its cut real quick but there's a lot of him and doesn't feel right.
Sure, he's about 8 feet tall, built right, has the "handsome face" perfected by Gary Frank during the Peter David era and does lots of Hulk stuff (swinging a tank round and round by its barrell then letting it go) but i can't get excited by it.
Maybe the ghost of the tv series is still hanging around?

So the Daredevil movie's a 15. Finally an action movie that's not copping out and suffering cuts to make it a 12A. About bloody time too - getting sick of people bringing their 5 year old sprogs along just so they couldn't be arsed to get a babysitter.

Thing is, looking at the original b&w art, i thought Dredd was holding a knife not a manky old piece of pipe. Assumed he was going one on one with the Alien just with a knife which would've been cool but now its a pipe??? Looking forward to see how THAT'S resolved

Know what you mean. That real early story where Niamh tells Slaine that she's taking Kai off to be a Druid had far more emotion packed into one frame than all of this weeks episode.
