Well, trust me, we havn't quite got to Hentai levels just yet, but we are dangerously close to passing channel 5 levels, but have avoided the 'pneumatic titties in spandex' event horizon of Marvel and DC.

It's worse than tasteless, it's just started to look tacky, cheap and nasty. The Biz could get away with it, as did any Slaine story, but 13 was just gratuitous and as far from erotic or titilating as you can get. Nudity is a valid element in art, but that's all it is, a device, a means to an end, not the end itself (unless you're Larry Flint). Artists and writers need to weigh up their use of nudity in the same way as they'd look at how to use explicit violence. And to be honest, 2K handles gore in a far more mature way than it handles nudity.

The SinDex cover works because it's supposed to be tacky, not erotic, and Halo Jones was damn sexy because she didn't loose all her clothes. Inteligent minds demand inteligent sex, and intelligent handling of issues that are still taboo, let's not pander to the tabloid generation, people.

The Simpsons
Blackadder (2,3 and 4)
B5 (up until the final series)
Farscape (B5 on drugs)
One foot in the grave

Also Futurama, Wacaday, HGTTG, Neverwhere (come on, it wasn't that bad), Seinfeld, Only fools and horses, Horizon, Chanel 4 news, can't be bothered to list any more.

With regards to the mind swap, I find it particularly annoying that Bison didn't twig the fact that whilst he was running around in a womans body, said woman would be running around in his body, with access to all the weapons that he had left in his appartment. It's a plot hole that the story could do without. As for the big man in a womans body, a similar joke ran a bit stale in 'Al's Baby, and I would have liked to have seen it handled a bit more sensibly here, but it's just turned (from what I can tell) into a regular tradgedy of errors.

Not re-writing the story for the 2K format was a big mistake, if this was intended as a 22 pager. It's sad that this has tainted our views on what could have been a fairly promising story.

Oddboy - You like Bellatrix and Belle and Sebastian? You have taste. Shame that Bellatrix split, though (last I heard a (slightly) dodgy friend of mine was a sort of manager to the lead singer).

Just bought the Primal Scream album. Love it.

Babel Fish Translation, In English:

Thanks to Alta Vista...

"26/02/2002: According to the Cineinfo.fr site, Jean Reno would have been contacted to play in one following the film Judge Dredd, whose principal role was held stalemate Sylverster Stallone. For incarner this famous dispenser of justice in a second shutter, the producers would have called upon Jean Reno, but the actor still did not give his answer. Let us hope that it will refuse!! "

Logan may get broody one day...

After dealing with the brats on my estate, I'm refusing to reproduce until I move somewhere where my sprogs can have a decent upbringing (running riot on the streets untill gone midnight at age 5 is plain irresponsible, yet it's common in Bow Road. And the the parents of those 2 missing 10 year olds express surprise when they go missing... but that's off-topic)

Dredd's got a pretty dodgy genetic past. It wouldn't be a great leap to have him discover that his ageing gene is damaged and that he's pretty much biologically immortal - Doomed to judge the big meg forever, because of course, no one can really hope to kill him.

I'm not too fond of the Halo Jones pages there. I may just bide my time and wait. The only other art I've got is a  page from The Invisibles by Chris Weston and a SinDex by Simon Davis, bought at Comics2001.

It makes Thursday night on the tube a pleasant experience. Londoners are too wrapped up in themselves to give me odd looks (oh dear, that strange man is reading a comic, but if I look at him in a funny way he may pull a knife on me).
