Cover was great, I thought.

Dredd - also great... as everyone else says: Wagner is the tops.

Savage - Wasn't so keen on the 'Report' exposition to begin with, but it turned me around before it'd finished, so that's okay.

Pet hate alert: It's the old Pat Mills' Badly Divided Book Syndrome! As often seen previously throughout Sl?ine's Books of Invasions, I can't help but feel that this episode should have been part one of book 2, and that last week's episode should have been at the end of book 1.
Okay, Mills' technique gives for a good series end Cliffhanger moment, but it offends my sense of what makes a "Book" - ie a beginning middle and end, not a 'Beginning & middle' book 1, and an 'end, beginning & middle' book 2, etc.

But putting the structure aside, the story & art are fantastic.

Yeah... once you're down to one train it gets kinda boring...

The advantage of having near on three decades worth of backprogs - if this week's is a bit bent out of shape, sticking it at the bottom of the pile for a day or two will have it flat as a pancake that's been run over by a truck on it's way home from a pancake ironing contest.

There aren't (at the moment) trades that collect Dredd in any sensible order.
What is out so far are collections of some of the bigger stories.

Due to start in December this year, and continuing at a rate of once every two months, they'll be a complete Dredd series of trade paperbacks starting from the first episode & going on from there.

I almost agree with you HoU - except that it wasn't shit & I liked it.

But I couldn't help wondering what the point of it all was.
Tim Burton's 'Batman' and 'Batman Returns' were good, the rot only set in for 'Batman Forever' and 'Batman & Robin' was truely awful.

'Batman Begins' seemed to be retreading a lot of the same ground covered in 'Batman' (minus the Joker character). It would've been great if 'Batman' wasn't already a film. But, hey! it is. So 'Batman Begins' for me can only be at best 'meh'.
