Right right right.

I've emailed Dreddlines agreeing with the decision.

I would agree with you Pete, but I'm worried it'd cause a paradox.

Looks like quite a few of the regulars can't make it this year... which only makes me feel marginally better about missing it myself.

I'll just add a "Hmpf" for good measure.

Prog / Re: Prog 1449: Deadlier Than The M...

Prog 1449 felt a little light this week - only four stories, and most of it taken up by fight scenes, not much talking, so it seemed to be over pretty quickly (good job the Megazine arrived this week, still plenty of thrills to work through).

Judge Dredd - I'm pretty much turned off from the art work now, as such it's hard work liking the story, although it is good. Still gagging to know the outcome of the other judges - you'd think Hershey & Dredd would have mentioned it in their final talky bit.
If only it'd been drawn by someone else - Flint, Ezquerra, MacNeil, Kennedy, Adlard or Cook would've been good.

Future Shorts - funny. I like having a onepager FS in a prog, especially if there's no Droid Life.

Sinister Dexter - took a long time to get to this point. I think I'd have preferred it if this story had been shorter, and then moved straight into the follow up story.
Is Apellido the now grow-up kid who was cloned from Moses in 'The Big Stiff' prog 1085? Surely he'd only be about 7? This must be a different Moses clone - how many are there?

Atavar III - satisfactory conclusion to the saga, somewhat confusing still, could do with a complete re-read of all three in one go.
Glad that they got the Adam & Eve gag out the way, rather then ending on it.

Shakara - SHAKARA!

Wowzers - fantastic site.

Feel quite touched to get name-checked for it! I only told you to make it so that I didn't have to do any work!

I keep thinking of the guy who got shot dead in London for having a table leg in a carrier bag

It because of that that I'd have thought the police would have been even more careful. The officer who shot the table-leg guy caused a lot of problems for himself and the police department - something that you'd think they'd learn from: don't fire unless you're sure.
That makes me think the officer who shot the Brazilian was sure - but was wrong.

It's a bad situation alright.

Aparently Jean Charles de Menezes' work permit had expired, which is why he might have panicked when challenged by police, so says Radio 1 news.

Quick! Shave!

Sounds like an attempt to cause panic and general disruption. Stilll, I'd like to see the culprits getting 30 years for it though.

Suicide bombers don't have to live with the consequences...
'Show-off' bombers should be sent to George W Bush for probing.
