Help! / Re: LOEG

The title of the book may be an allusion to the 1960 British film The League of Gentlemen, based on a 1958 novel of the same name by John Boland.

That probably clears all that up then.

Sorry Stodge, your memory betrays you!

I take it that LOEG is worth a look at?
Perhaps I should go get 'em.

Don't know anything about it, sorry.

It isn't at all related to the League of Gentlemen, the sit blackcom is it?

Didn't think so.

The names MUST be related somehow...

O, I forgot Durham Red.
Easy mistake to make really.
Probably for the best.

I've just renewed my Megazine sub too. Which was superb this month by the way.

By 'eck, wasn't it?!

The Bendatti Vendetta was BLINDINGLY BRILLIANT stuff, I can't wait for the graphic novel already!  Re-read the first four parts of Place of the Dead before I read the last part & it's soooooo good!
Cit Sump was pretty good but I think it shows that Wagner's been focusing on 2000AD Dredd more recently but it's still an enjoyable tale.

I skipped Bad Co I must admit.  I'm working my way through the back progs so I'll get to that story in time.
I skipped Hellboy as well.  I got bored of this story by the end of part two.  I want some of the old Battle stories reprinted!  Any chance of Charley's War?  I haven't read any of this stuff but I gather it was great from what the oldtimers here say.

By sheer coincidence &/or luck, your Megazine articles have been keeping the same pace as my personal quest of reading all the progs (from my newly gained massive selection).  At present I'm going through the likes of The Filby Case, Fungus, All Hell on the Dix-I Front, Too Many Bams, and carefully skipping Mean Arena (I kept with it for a long time, but it it rubbish!).  It's brilliant to get the editorial comment running alongside my mission, and for that I thank you David.

Pretty much agree with everything said there.
But I missed a lot of 2Ks when Fr1day was in it & I still don't get how Rogue became Fr1day?  I thought it was Rogue who was the dead-in-space one, and that the whole thing just didn't mention the Fr1day fiasco!  How are Rogue/Fr1day actually related?

It is scary - the amount of kids in Nirvana hoodies that must've been 3 when Smells Like Teen Spirit turned up.

I really didn't get on with the TV version of Hitchhikers'.  I think it was probably mainly due to Beeblebrox's dodgy second head...
I've got all five books & the first two of the radio series on 12" vinyl.
I think the book/radio versions work so much better, creating the insaneness visualy would be damn near impossible.  They'd try to make it 'cool' as well - and as such probably miss all the good bits.

Some things are best left trilogies.

Not Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy though.
