General / Re: Worst 2000 AD line ever..........

That actually irritated the daylights out of me every time I looked at the story.

"PARAspace active."
"PARAspace active."
"Tai, you are killing Lamborghini."
"Yes, Jem, I know."

It's not possible to have a good comic with a character called Lamborghini in it.

Good grief!!  That's the most interesting cover design in ages!

I'd say the revelation of the other three Dark Judges was the best cliffhanger in all of comics.

Oh, heck, yeah, let's add The Grudge-Father to the bottom 10.  That really was terrible.

Wow - trauma had prevented me from remembering Mother Earth.  Even the nice Cliff Robinson art couldn't save that thing.  It's certainly in my bottom five.

Why not combine Wire Heads and ParaSites into one entry?  It was sort of a "book one"/"book two" thing anyway.

I'll vote to save Dead Meat on account of the art and that brilliant idea of the underwater abbatoir in the House of Commons.

I'd add Dry Run to the above list.

Peter Pratt was his name, and he certainly convinced my kids.  We saw The Deadly Assassin last month and they were climbing the walls in fear of him!

I often wondered how good of a Master Ainley would have made had the producer not told him to play the part like he was playing the Penguin in an off-Broadway production of the '60s Batman series.

Seriously; Ainley did some guest star parts over the years which showed he really was a good actor (like Lord Peter Wimsey, Upstairs Downstairs), and he was actually the lead in an early 1970s secret agent show called Spyder's Web which wasn't bad, but on the set of Doctor Who he did everything short of twirling his moustache, waiting for the audience to shout BOO and HISS at him.

Also, the scriptwriters failed to give him a single good story after the one where he killed the Fourth Doctor.  How can you be the ultimate incarnation of evil when you spend all your time disguised as a fat Chinaman, a French knight or a scarecrow?

Well, of course they should.  Barton was a dedicated rugby player and liked a good "scrum."

(I'm taking a very wild guess that there's actually some kicking in rugby...)

Well, that's the other Sauron Valley, obviously.

You mean you didn't see the sequel to Sauron Valley?  It was the one that didn't have Sam Neill in it.

Oh, I like Soul Gun enormously, although I wouldn't commission a new series of it.

I wouldn't say Medivac 318, Zippy Couriers or Timehouse were at all bad.  They were just dull and inoffensive.

Y'all are hereby warned that if Tharg ever takes me on as an editorial droid, you're getting an eight month run of Bix Barton.  I love that strip.
