Other Reviews / Re: Flesh: The Dino Files

Like flip-r mk2, Dinosaurs and cowboy really did it for me.I can remember being genuinely scared for the characters in Flesh.Anyhow my copy arrived this morning and the missus has already hidden it, saying it's for Christmas.Iv'e warned her about the dangers of it giving off high level of thrill power, :| which could be dangerous but she just gave me a strange look.

Rated both Animal Man and Swamp Thing highly,Action Comic was pretty good and Wonder Woman was okay. Also bought Batwoman,Red Lantern and Batman, but not have had chance to read as nephew snagged them.Tried to get he to read 2000ad but not interested, yet he has borrowed ABC Warriors Volgon War 1 and 2 so theres still hope.

Jubal-    run boy-!     My boy!    The death of Jubal Fargo and the look in Randy Fargo's  eyes.A real lump in the throat moment for me and I think at the time I actually shouted out loud "no".

To have just one artist on one series makes sense to me.I know that there can be long waits between chapters but thats a small price to pay and when they are eventually made into collected editions they read so much better.

Help! / Re: Boxing 2000ad

In a 16 inch box I managed to cram in 180 comics each inside a polypropylene bags.Cost me quite a bit to bag and box my collection but worth it I think.A lot better than 30 or so progs shoved inside tesco, hmv and other old plastic bags, that I would then put in my Dads attic.God you should have seen the state of them, but now they are retired in comfort, looking knockout in my attic.

General / Re: Judge Fargo Series
06 February, 2011, 10:45:14 AM
I personally would like to see a mini series of the Battle of Armageddon with someone like Rufus Dayglo or Nick Dyer on art duties. The story could be told by a surviving Judge in a kind of Band of Brothers way.Cause Fargo would have to be there in some kind of way.Would John write this tale or would Al Ewing or maybe even Pat Mills?Oh yeah Cliff Robinson must be involved, just look at some of his cover homages to Mick McMahom.

General / Re: Your first Prog - which & why?
27 November, 2010, 03:10:17 PM
Can't really take credit for first prog bought, cause my brother picked it up.He had gone to the newsagents to pick up Action but was told that it was not in, but the owner had this new comic called 2000AD.When he brought it home i was like "Where,s Action, what the hell is that".Anyhow the next week it was my turn to hit the newsagents and i picked up prog 2.I guess i had to see some more of that Dan Dare major freakout art and who the hell was this Judge Dredd

Just recently  decked out the loft having had a new boiler installed, then put up some new lights and a double plug socket [figured a tv and dvd player would look good up here].Now in the process of transfering comics into the loft but finding it slow going with me having a tendency to stop to brouse through some progs only to find i'm sucked in to read entire storylines.Only putting comics in loft to give the missus some floor space in the bedroom, her having tripped over boxes on more than one occassion. To here credit she never complains and accepts it as one of my many flaws.
